Stars always look like--- just a star! They are too far away to see a disk.

The moon should be your first target with that scope. Also the Orion Nebula, which is the center "star" in Orion's sword. It looks loke a star without a telescope; but it's many stars and a nebula cloud WITH a telescope.

Go and buy the book "Nightwatch".

You must ALIGN the finder scope with the main tube FIRST! During the daytime focus on the top of a distant telephone pole or a distant building.

Lock down the main scope and do not move it-- then adjust the cross hairs on the same distant object.

I have a edu-science telescope that connects to the internet and is powered so that it rotates and finds the stars for you. I have lost the disk that belongs to the telescope. It has Dia=76mm & F=700mm...

Contact Toys R US that sell this telescope-- or use either www.stellarium to control the scope.

www.stellarium.org

The disk is not actually needed it is just a planetarium software like Stellarium. All the goto controls are inside the hand controller.

We bought my son EDU SCIENCE Telescope model # lcm60 We would like to find stronger eye pieces for my son.

Your scope is 60mm not much bigger than a pair of 10x50mm binoculars the most magnification it will give is about 100 power or less.

Eyepieces come in 3 sizes, .965 inch, 1.25 inch, and 2 inch. Measure the hole in the focuser and buy the correct size. Here are two retailers:

Stars are blurry period thats just the way they are. and with the worlds atmosphere (air) you'll always get a slight waviness...even when viewing planets.

I need the instructions/manual for the edu science star tracker telescope. I bought it second hand and it has no instructions

You will not find a manual-- for these small telescopes. However Meade has a web site with manuals for their telescopes. Find one that is similar to yours and download it for free.,

www.meade.com look under Customer Service--- Manuals

How to use telescope at night?

Many people have the same problem-- with these small telescopes you are stuck with seeing only the moon, and several other planets, and maybe a few bright star clusters.

These are all TINY objects (except for the moon).... when you look through the telescope you are looking at a section of sky about the size of your fingertip held at arms length-- the scope must be pointed DIRECTLY at the object. Practice on the moon first-- and then try to find Saturn which is up in the sky right now-- it looks like a dim (slightly yellow) star.
