81@hI have a LA32B550KIF LCD TV by Samsung. Just recently the picture has gone but we still have sound. Is there a step by step manual that I can follow online to reset the settings? I have currently disabled all settings but as there is no picture and the manual I have is very 'basic", i dont know which option I am selecting without a picture or step by step guidance eg Select Menu, go down to the second option of Setup etc

Use a flashlight on the screen when it goes black. If you can see a faint picture then the board that controls the back light has gone bad. If you see no picture then the T-Con board is bad. You can get replacement parts here: TV Parts Universal TV Stands DLP Chips ShopJimmy and fix the TV yourself. It's not that difficult.

I would go to menu on the remote , from there to picture go down the list, if you do not find anything there to help you. Go to Support and to the E manual .

The T con board is faulty. It is the board with flat ribbon cables going to the bottom of the screen. It is not hard to replace this board. You can get one from here:

as it is not giving the perfect picture so it might have gone wrong in the screen pixels better to check the lcd screen and me sure the pixels went wrong it can be also coz of the water vapours please keep the tv away from water or windows etc.there might be a circuit problem which may not be working .

check if the back lamps are still on when you lose image, all you have to do is get close to the screen and make is totally black and if is not that means you have a back light working, but if the back light is gone you may have a defective panel.

talked to samsung TA about the same problem I had and the recommend to replace the power supply first to confirm a defective panel because a panel is quite expensive

Follow these steps to correct humming issue:
1. Turn tv on
2. Input mode should be tv
3. Turn volume to zero
4. With remote enter 9 8 7 6
5. A menu will appear on left side
6. Arrow down to backlight and with right arrow key move number from 81 to 83, press menu button twice,
7. Turn up volume and listen if hum is gone.
