The easiest way to do this in my experience is to order a new set of recovery discs. They dont cost that much and if you ever run into problems in the future you will have them on hand.

How do i reset my toshiba satellite a105-s2201

Try to open the BIOS, when you turn it on press TAB. Then read witch is the setup key and press it. Its usually "Delete" or "F2" keys. Then if BIOS screen loads, search for the "Exit" options, there you can choose to "Load Setup Defaults", press enter on it, then you can "Save and Exit" (or press F10) and say yes to save changes.

If the problem was solved then it was wrong bios setup. If not, then you need to reinstall the Operating System or check if Hard Disk drive is faulty.

I Cannot repoot my disk by pressing F2

What are you trying to do ?
Restart your computer

During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup usually the Delete or F2 key
this will vary depending on your computer and operating system

Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS using the arrow keys load failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart

this will set the boot order

if this fails you might try some of these

Acer: - Ctrl+Alt+Esc

ALR PC: (F2) or (Ctrl)(Alt)Esc)

AMI BIOS: (Del), (F1) or (F2)

AST, Advantage, Award, Tandon: - Ctrl + Alt + Esc

Award BIOS: (Del) or (Ctrl)(Alt)(Esc)

If you need more help with this or if i have missunderstood the problem post a reply

Hope this helps

Hi, I am trying to set my Toshiba Satellite

Just before the laptop boots, a Toshiba screen opens inviting F2 or F12. This will let you into the BIOS menu if you press F2 at that time. When you are there, find Default Settings in the menu and press F10 and enter.
That is now set to default and you can start the restore process.
Hope that helps.

flashing BIOS is not needed in your case. The only way to solve your issue is to make the mobo work. When working, thats the time you can use utilities to flash your BIOS.
For now, visit your CMOS Setup by pressing DEL or F2 at startup. Then choose LOAD SETUP Defaults.

Unable to get into BIOS SETUP

hi there,

On most systems, the key or key combination to press to enter the BIOS program is displayed on the screen when the system boots up, at the time when the BIOS is ready to enter Setup.

take a look at some default keys:-
  • {Delete} (modern Award and AMI BIOSes)
  • {F2} (modern Phoenix BIOSes)
  • {Ctrl}+{Alt}+{Esc}
  • {Ctrl}+{Esc}
  • {Alt}+{Esc}
  • {Ctrl}+{Alt}+{S}
  • {Insert}
  • {F1}
