Akribos xxiv AK736BK.. How do you resize the band? I got this for my boyfriend's bday gift and it just slides right off his hand. Help please.

Each link near the clip has a Spring- loaded PIN securing it to the other link, remove as many links you need and join the two open ends back together, a watch shop will do it too. $$

How to remove stainless steel wrist band on a marc

You should find a couple of pins buried away at the watch side of the strap. These are spring loaded and hold the strap in place using tension.
Simply put the watch face down on something soft, the clips should be visible at the corners of the strap and take some needle nose pliers or small flat screwdriver and push inward from one of the outer edges. This will squash the spring and enable you to remove the strap.

I purchased a S&W sd40 ve the clips rattle when loaded? not happy about it?

Common problem with these clips. I just bought a new SD40 yesterday and both clips rattle. Nothing you can really do. I read on a forum where a guy swapped the lower place and spring from a glock 23 clip and it fixed it.

I am wondering what is the bottom dial hand is for? The number on the case is JR-8675 then has BAW 250506 it has the main dial then three small dials one in the( day 45min )and one at (date15min) and one...

The subdial at 6 is ment to show you what part of the day it is. Example: if you are in Arctic, where the day or night can be a few months long, it would be very difficult to tell it's morning or evening, as the light conditions still the same in both cases. This small dial tells you exactly, because full day is divided to 24 hours and the hand of this subdial makes 1 full circle in 24 hrs.

Battery won't clip in

There are tiny hooks. Get an eyeglass and you will find them. For easy fitting bend clip legs inwards a bit (do not brake). If hooks are not damaged clip should stay on.

My problem is not mechanical. Rather, an issue of authenticity. I see a lot of information regarding replica LUMINOX watches. My question is: How can a potential buyer detect a "fake" from the real-deal?

Well I'm, not an expert of fake Luminox, only the real ones, but I will tell you that a 'real' Luminox will be heavy to the touch, good quality steel...another thing that is a must if it is real is the glass tubes on the hands and on the dial at the hour markers...they are very small glass tubes that are not 'charged' by putting in light, they stay lit regardless of any surrounding factors...most fake watches will have 'painted' on glow onto the dial and especially the hands...this model also has a screw-down crown and sapphire crystal...hope this has helped...good luck :)

Citizen watch bezel does not stay in place.

If you've been trying to snap on that bezel and it does not stay in place, you probably lost the bezel fixing spring.
Find your nearest watchmaker and ask to sort things out.

Casio illuminator, w-94h

There is a tiny spring that must make contact with the back cover plate when you screw it back on. If the spring is missing, the piezoelectric buzzer will not work. The tiny spring is located toward the upper right in this photo of a Casio W-94H watch, directly underneath the "C" in CASIO that is etched in the metal. Note that the word CASIO is upside down in the picture, so if you can't see the picture for some reason, the hole for the tiny spring would be directly above the "C" in CASIO.
