OK! Do you see any characters on your display? If yes: channel info, menu, volume bar? Means: you don't have any video info coming through. Main board is most likely candidate for replacement. Next scenario: TV powers up, but you see only display glowing, no characters, no info. t-con(display adapter) board is at fault. Last one: you can hear the sound from TV speakers( not from your surround system), but display is "black". Power supply's ballast or "inverter" quit. Have you try watching using a DVD player on your t.v if doesn't try watch on it using a DVD player but if still it doesn't have a picture but only sound perhaps there is a problem with your HDTV.
