Question about Motorola Mobility Droid (2 GB) Cell Phone

1 Answer

When I first bought the droid 2GB motorola phone I could set the alarm to go off but have the phone on silent. Now, I have to have the volume up overnight for the alarm to go off. Also, I cannot download apps even though my email still seems to be synced to my phone. Please help!

The box says Motorola Milestone but nothing else, it's a 3GB actually with 5 MP camera and 8 GB storage...there's a number on the charger but I doubt this'll help.

There is a software glitch with the droids after the updates, you need to preform a hard reset on the phone to restore it back to factory specs.... what is the make/model of the phone i can give you the reset procedure.

For the past two days, my alarm has been silent and I can't figure out why. I've tried putting the volume up, resetting the alarm sound and the alarm but nothing is working and the alarm still won't sound....

The setting for the alarm is actually independent from the rest of the phone volumes. When you go the set the alarm and get to the alarm sound list, use the volume rocker on the side of the phone to set the alarm volume.

For some reason, the Hero has a habit of screwing around with the volumes for the alarm. It happened to me a few times where my alarm got muted.

Thanks for looking and good luck.

Well my motorola droid is slow I don't know why I recently bought it and it takes a long time for a video to load while am using my normal 3g network

hi daddy hector the motorola driod comes with a 16 gb card if you are using a 2gb the phone's memory is slowing the phone down. You need to put the 16gb card back into the phone. Now if you have the droid 2 the 3g is faster because it is using the a faster processor. Where you got the phone is also important. It sounds like you got the phone from an authorize dealer. Teh corp stores are selling the driod 2 global. So you need to speak to the corporate national customer service and see if your phone is indeed a brand new phone. Hope this help

Droid (2 GB) Cell Phone: droid constantly makes noise - the droid sound, ho...

From the home screen, go to Settings> Sound & display> Notification ringtone> then you can select "Silent" if you don't want any "Droid" noises when you get text messages, etc., or you can select a different notification sound.

Hope that helps!

Motorola Droid stopped ringing even tho settings are correct.

Does it play music otherwise? If it's completely silent, you may have an issue with your speaker. If Verizon doesn't replace it for you, You can get the speaker at Droid Repair and there is a guide that shows you how to put in the part at Electronics Repair Guide.

Htc hero alarm not working.... no sound when alarm goes off

I had this problem with my Orange Hero too - there is a fix but it's quite obscure.
When you're inside the "choose an alarm sound" menu and scrolling through the list,
if you press the volume buttons on the side of the phone then you can manually adjust
the alarm sound (mine was set to 0). Not sure what causes it to set to zero,
presumably when you take the phone off silent mode it sometimes fails to update the
alarm as well? This still needs looking at because it means the alarm volume resets
to zero of its own accord, but it can at least be managed by manual readjustment.
Hope this helps!

P.S. It might also be worth noting that when I was having this problem, no
third-party alarm apps would play the stock alarm sounds either.
