Need more description. if it is getting power, but still appears dead, it is probably the controller board.
try to find an old radio repair shop to get it fixed, sounds like a simple power supply issue.

the touch screen doesn't have any info displayed, assuming the control board is dead. I checked the control board and on the top left corner there's a flat aluminum bar approx 1"x3" and its very hot when washer is plugged into the wall outlet
Hi Mark, That could be a heat sink for one of the power o/p drivers and might well be hot but there's hot and hot! I'll leave your posting 'live' for someone who may know more.John C
