First of all, try to put other empty disc(or other disc, which contains data) in your dvd rw. See if it detects your CD. If it detects that means the problem is with your empty disc. If the computer an't detect your disc, go to Control Panel and see if any device has yellow mark. Make sure that drivers for your devices of your computer are installed correctly. If some device has yellow mark, that means you need to install drivers for this device. If the problem continues, go to http://support.microsoft.com/mats/cd_dvd_drive_problems/en-us for additional information.
Firstly go to Lenova's web site and make sure that Win7 supports Lenova 3000. If it does, check 64 is supported. If all is OK, download the 64bit drivers to a USB flash drive or burn them to a cd.
Back up all of your data!!
Put Win7 64 system disk in your DVD drive and boot from that. Follow the prompts and be certain to install A CLEAN INSTALL. If you don't you will bring problems with you from your old system. When Windows has finished installing, go through all of your programmes, installing them, as you have an empty drive to put them on, then install the 64bit drivers from your CD or USB drive. Good luck and I hope this helps.
Hi you can try finding out what your sound card is or by going to your manufactuars website and finding it there by looking under your make and model or you could find out yourself and download it from the internet.
there may be incompatibility issues with that. have you checked on the device manager if the drivers were installed fine? if still none of them worked, you may need to revert it to your previous OS which is your vista. and to do that you just have to run the one key recovery which is the smaller button beside the power button. turn pc on using that button. be sure that your ac adapter is plugged in when you do that. and also back up all your files.
I don't know when the last time that you have installed XP, but it certainly would not hurt to reinstall the operating system again along with SP1, SP2, and SP3. "Microsoft Updates" site offers all of these updates for free provided that you have a legitamite copy of windows installed. The manufacturer's wesite offers free downloads to your model specifically, which could help. If you still have the original factory install and recovery disks, reinstalling the original drivers would almost guarantee no hardware problems. Drivers become contaminated and can lose the necessary information to make hardware work. It is also possible that your hardware is going bad. There are tests from your manufacturers website that will help you decide. Good Luck.
You can't find the DVD or the computer doesn't find the DVD ? If the drive is physically connected to the computer and detected you can open explorer and see the drive in the left window pain. The drive will be physically located on the Right side, the photos of teh computer show that it appears as an open slot like a car cd player. If the computer is not detecting it you may need to open device manager, find the device and uninstall it and then reboot the computer. I recommend you go to the Lenova tech support sight and download the most updated drivers for your DVD and any BIOS update that might be available and install those. Install the Bios update before you reboot and then when you reboot if it gives you the option to identify where the DVD drivers are located point it to the downloaded file.
