First of all make sure your drive is lightscribe capable. Next go to your drive manufacturers website and download the drivers and software for your drive.

You need special absorbent coating on the printable DVD's if they are suitable for that. Are you sure you can print on the sort you have usually they are all white. It also must actually say suitable for PC printed labels etc too.

CAN NOT PRINT LIGHTSCRIBE LABLE

Your problem is posted under the LG CRD 8521B CD-ROM drive category. That model of CD drive isn't a LightScribe drive, so it can't print LightScribe labels.

1-bad drive.
2: bad driver for drive
3: upgrated OS and it dont support this (why post lacking OS)????
4: bad media.

read this.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LightScribe

then at that bottom read HP unstable.
From HP's official site, they started phasing out Lightscribe drives in HP computers in 2011, due to "industry conditions beyond our control."
windows 8, 8.1 and w10 its not supported.
go to HP.com read what your PC supports, with the unstated

Lightscribe not making labels

hello, did you get firmware update for the lg unit? they give updates to give the drive more capabilities. if you bought the drive, and added it the lg updater is on the cd with all the other software, nero, ect. it is called lg odd auto firmware updater. this may help you,and i could not hurt the system. they give me 2 updates a year(love lightscribe) other possible things, did it stop working after a nero or other software change or update? if you need further assistance reply.

I am trying to figure out how to use the lightscribe DVD's, how to put a graphic on the DVD?

As long as you have a lightscribe drive it's really simple. Burn the disc as usual, put in upside down, ie label side down and using the lightscribe program burn you image to the disc.

See the www.lightscribe.com site for the latest program and templates etc etc.

We use ours all the time and it is like magic, especially if you use colour lightscribe discs.
Cheers, Rob

Lightscribe

You can get colored blank discs, but the Lightscribe only "prints" in shades of black. You will need to get Lightscribe compatible discs, which are just like "normal" cd's / dvd's with the exception of having a special coating on the one side.

You can visit Lightscribe's website for complete tutorials.
