A pink picture indicates that the light engine on your set is bad and should be looked at and most likely needs replaced. The only other possible cause is the connections on the set for the HDMI or other inputs. Check all these make sure they are tight, maybe switch them around to see if this helps.

Replace the light engine on a Mitsubishi 65 inch DLP television to provide a consistent quality picture. The light engine includes the projection lens, color wheel, mirror and lamp. It is vital to the picture on the Mitsubishi DLP, and if it becomes defective or problematic, then the video image will be severely impaired. This Mitsubishi DLP model is designed to allow the light engine to be replaced, thereby extending the life of the television. Here aer the instructions for the rplacement of the engine if you choose to do this repair yourself.

  • Unplug the television and all connected devices from the rear video panel. Unscrew the lower panel of the television using a Philips screwdriver. Remove the six external screws securing the rear cover plate, and the additional screws that are connected to the video board. Take notes of all items disconnected and removed from the television for re-installation.

  • Remove the filter cover at the bottom right corner of the television, and then remove the entire rear cover plate. The light engine is located at the center of the back panel. Disconnect the connectors to the Light Engine, the PCB-DMD and the Lamp Cartridge Housing. Remove the four screws securing the Cover Duct and DMD fan cover, then remove the screws securing the Light Engine to the Adjuster.

  • Pull the Light Engine panel out of the rear of the television. Remove the screw at the top of the fan, and remove the Heat Sensor. Remove the screws from the metallic silver Bottom Plate, and remove the two screws securing the Black Support Bracket to the Light Engine as well.

  • Connect the silver Bottom Plate, the Heat Sensor and the Black Support Bracket to the new light engine. Connect the new light engine module to the Adjuster, and reconnect all the disconnected connectors. Replace the back cover and filter cover correctly to allow the television to power on. Plug in all devices and plug the television back into the power outlet.

  • Press "TV/Menu" on the remote control; then enter 2, 4, 5, 7 and then 0 in sequence. Scroll to the "Copy Light Engine EEPROM to DM" option, and press "Enter". Press "Home" to exit the menu once the copy is completed. If the on-screen picture is out of focus, use the picture adjustment settings to adjust it.

  • Press "TV/Menu" on the remote, then press 2, 4, 5, and 7 in sequence to access the adjustment menu. Press the "Adjust" button to center the picture horizontally and vertically with the scroll buttons. Press "Home" when the adjustments are complete to save any and all changes.

*YOU DO NOT NEED TO SWITCH TO STANDARD DEFINITION*

To view the videos via HDMI, you need to switch the HDMI Color Space setting to "RGB". To do this go through:

My Xbox > System Settings > Console Settings > Display > HDMI Color Space > and from there select RGB

I had this same issue when watching movies from a USB flash drive and this worked perfect, so I hope this helps those of you who love your HDMI as much as I do.

Sony KP-53HS30 Projection TV has pink and blue hue w/timer blink

Depending on your TV, you may have a Color Temperature (Color Temp) and/or Hue setting in the menu. Use these options to adjust the picture to the setting that best suits your viewing preference.
If your TV has a Color Temp setting, you will normally have the following options to select from:
    • Cool: Gives the picture a cooler, slightly bluish appearance.
    • Neutral: Gives the picture a neutral, more natural look and appearance.
    • Warm: Gives the picture a warmer, slightly reddish appearance.
If your TV has a Hue setting, follow the appropriate step below to make adjustments:
    1. Move the setting to the right to reduce the reddish appearance.
    2. Move the setting to the left to reduce the greenish appearance.
