Your drain is likely plugged and not allowing the defrost water to drain out. You will need to remove the rear freezer panel and thaw the drain. I would recommend installing a drain heater while you have it apart. They are inexpensive and easy to install. They come with installation instructions.

Defrost condensate drain line blockage is most likely what is happening here. I am pretty sure you are having a defrost drain blockage problem. If blocked by gunk or ice you will see trails of liquid leaking down the rear wall of fresh food compartment until it reaches the crisper drawers. This is not always the same with every model as you may see frozen ice flowing down ther rear wall of freezers on side by sides. Amana AFI2538AES The refrigerator portion keeps freezing the fruits and vegetables. The chiller control is on the warmest setting and the refrigerator temp is set at 43. I have been raising every once...

Our Amana afi2538aes is doing the same thing. Had a repairman out. He called tech support at Amana. They had him adjust the "thermistors" but it is colder than ever running at 28-30degrees in the fresh food compartment despite being set at 46 degrees. Tech support also recommended installing some sort of "ice bin seal kit to take care of the problem" according to our invoice from repairman. Repairman was told that the ice bin in the fresh food compartment puts cold air out (to keep the ice frozen) which freezes the food in the fresh food compartment. I called Amana and the rep I spoke to said he couldn't find record of this being a problem with the model but tech support told our repairman "we've had a lot of problems with this happening."

MY MAYTAG REFRIGERATOR MODEL #MBF2254HEQ IS FORMING ICE UNDER ONE OF THE VEGETABLE BINS. THERE IS AN ACCUMULATION OF WATER THERE AND THEN IT TURNS TO ICE. WE HAVE TRIED LOWERING THE TEMP BUT THAT DOESN'T...

Make sure that the compressor is cutting off at the set temperature and is not cooling beyond.
If Ok then the second part is the leak, check if the condensation is happening into the vegetable section, isit due to constant use, the door is open . now make sure that the tray is cleaned and put on once again to check the water collection.
Look for leaks , if so plug them but it can be condensation, set the fridge temperature lower and make sure the freezer frost is not coming over.

Water collects in bottom of refrigerator under fruit/vegetable bins

When a fridge goes in to defrost it melts the ice on the coils in the interior of the freezer. Often times there is a drain that runs to a sliding tray under the fridge. If this is clogged you will get water building up under the bins.

Water in bottom of refrigerator coming from freezer (not really sure of the exact model as I'm not home to double check).

If water appears on the floor in front of the refrigerator once or twice a day, it could be due to a clog in the defrost drain tube. The usual evidence of a clogged drain in a side-by-side refrigerator is ice under the bottom basket in the freezer compartment, in addition to a puddle of water on the floor. Water in bottom of "fridge" and in vegetable bins

Hi: I'll assume this is should be a frost free freezer. If so the defrost drain is clogged and the water isn't getting to the evaporator pan. Without knowing the specifics although it sounds like a top freezer. Look for a drain below the evaporator coils. The will be in the back of the freezer behind a panel. Some models have a drain hose behind the ref. Use a strong solution of clorox and water to clean it out. The parts list or diagram of the fridge will help you find the drain. If you don't have it enter your model no. at sears.com parts direct. I hope this helps, Jeff
