Question about Hydrofarm 2 Ft Green Thumb Grow Light System Model Gtv2

Open Question

I have a Hydrofarm Green Thumb Light System that has an opening 30" high by 48" wide. I do not understand how to set up the string to adjust the height of the lamp. This was a gift of a used system without a manual.

Xantrax xw6048 with 30 each 235w orion poly solar panels.company rep. stresses that it should be connected no more than 3 sets each. What does this mean?I was thinking of 3 strings of 10 panels.

Yes. That's what that means. 3 strings of series wired panels. Now, the panels are going to be around 30 volts (vmp), so it all depends on the input voltage of that unit. I'd check the voltage range of the charge controller. If it's limited to lets say, 192 volts max for a 48 volt system, you can do 3 strings of 6 panels to keep it under the voltage. This will give you a 4230W panel output every hour, which is substantial.

If your guitar was not purchased new (since it was hard to find these guitars late in the life cycle) then perhaps it was already faulty before you received it.

Cant get the buzz out of the high E string on my Epiphone les paul guitar

A buzz on one string is not due to a pickup fault. It's rather a too low string height at the nut or a string slot that is either too wide or has too deep of an angle towards the tuner. It could however be that you had the pickup too close to the high E string creating excessive string pull.

Cant figure it out, has 4 black segments that each represent 15 minutes, and i still dont understand how to set it for 16 hours on, and 8 off...

Dial has 48 segments.
Each segment represents 1/2 hour in 24 hour day.
Pull up 32 segments and leave 16 segments down.
Manually rotate dial and watch when light turns on-off.

Uh70015 dirt sensor stays on green. Goes on red for about 5 seconds then green. Can clearly see the floor is dirty and it is picking up stuff.

ahh the good ol electronics on vacuums selling the product again...

not to worry, your feature is working properly, your vacuum is working fine too.

Imagine if you will making a circle with your pointer finger and your thumb. Now put a string or thread across in a straight line there. The string would be the size of the beam of light that the sensor uses. Your finger and thumb are about the size of the tube that the dirt and dust is passing by. Unless the dirt passes and cuts through the beam of light, then it will register. otherwise if it passes around the beam of light, the sensor thinks your carpet is clean.

The opposite sometimes will happen too where it will stay constant red. That means that the sensor is completely covered in dirt and will not register anymore.

Hope this helps.

Connect ballast to light

black to black and white to white, the green wire is the ground. the lighter colored wire is most likely for european connection if it is a switchable ballast.
