Question about Televison & Video
Hi, I have seen this fault a few times before in my shop, what usually happens is that a thing called the Mode Switch, faults and this then causes the symptoms that your unit is exhibiting.
It isn't a big repair job, and shouldn't cost too much. However often there are other problems when the MS faults, so one must get it checked out.
What you need to do, is contact a local or head office from Sony, ask them for a referral to an authorised, servicing center.
however, in any event, always ask first for a "Quote" before allowing any repair work to be done.
