Security light stays on when car is locked with key flob or power door lock button kills battery but if you lock it manually light goes out,

The light is supposed to stay on, when the key is used the system is not armed, it should not kill the battery if the battery is in good shape. I suggest you take it and have the battery load tested.

Vx510le bad rtc chip how to reboot Problem

Bad RTC suggests a bad Real-Time-Clock, and it's usually bad because the battery for that clock has been let run down, or humidity killed that battery. Try replacing the battery first, then consider replacing the chip (using a soldering iron and replacement chip.)

How do i reboot my computer

Hi,

To reboot the desktop machine, kindly press the power on button for few seconds / small button(reset) below the power button to reboot the computer.

If its laptop follow the below steps

Determine what operating system it uses. Finding out what operating system your laptop uses will let you know what key combo (such as "Ctrl+Alt+Delete") can exit you from usage and trigger a reboot or shutdown.

Try and reboot using the operating system. Attempt to use the key combination that will allow you to exit from the operating system and restart the laptop. Be patient, as it may take some time if it has locked up.

Hold down the power button. If the operating system's answer to the rebooting will not work, find and hold down the power button of the laptop. This should cause the device to shut itself off. You'll have to press the power button again to power it back on, completing the reboot.

Unplug from the wall and remove the battery. If restarting via the operating system and the power button do not work, unplug the laptop from the wall outlet, and remove the battery from the laptop. This will cause it to power off immediately.

Allow time to reboot. Give the laptop time to cool down before you power it back on if you had to do this manually. A few seconds should do unless you have additional problems.

I want to restart or reset my laptop. how?

Hi,

Few steps to restart you laptop, I would suggest not to restart often since it will degrade the hardware resource.
  • Determine what operating system it uses. Finding out what operating system your laptop uses will let you know what key combo (such as "Ctrl+Alt+Delete") can exit you from usage and trigger a reboot or shutdown.
  • Try and reboot using the operating system. Attempt to use the key combination that will allow you to exit from the operating system and restart the laptop. Be patient, as it may take some time if it has locked up.
  • Hold down the power button. If the operating system's answer to the rebooting will not work, find and hold down the power button of the laptop. This should cause the device to shut itself off. You'll have to press the power button again to power it back on, completing the reboot.
  • Unplug from the wall and remove the battery. If restarting via the operating system and the power button do not work, unplug the laptop from the wall outlet, and remove the battery from the laptop. This will cause it to power off immediately.
  • Allow time to reboot. Give the laptop time to cool down before you power it back on if you had to do this manually.
Else Try:

Windows start > there's a small arrow(pointing RIGHT) in the left bottom > click it and u will get ALL the Power House Options there at your Click(sleep, hibernate, shut down,RESTART,....)

How do I reboot my acer laptop with my copy disk?

When turning your laptop on, before Windows starts booting, a splash screen appears first (usually with the logo of the manufacturer). Look on the splash screen (usually at the bottom) for a key (usually F10 or F11), assigned for System Recovery CD/DVD with the laptop. or 1.Press the start button from the start menu depending on your operating system(win 2000,xp) 2.Press Ctrl+Alt+delete combination from the keyboard. 3.If you have a power button on your laptop keyboard,it could also be useful by pressing and hold it down for few seconds N.B: "Ctrl+Alt+Delete" can exit you from usage and trigger a reboot or shutdown. All the Best!

My daughter was driving my van and lost ALL power. at the same time. all systems went down, and the tranmission gear box locked. any ideas?

Sounds like the alternator quit. You can get a fresh battery in there and go about 20 miles till it drains, but it won't run without the alternator or the battery. If that is not the problem the Ignitor under the seat is bad, I would try the battery first, it is a lot cheaper than the ignitor. I'm not sure what it is called or where yours might be located, but that is where mine was. But the ignitor wouldn't kill the whole car like the alternator would. I hope this helps.

HP DV6110us: 4 beeps, no boot

besides the beeps which indicate a motherboard timing issue. There should be LED blinking codes given on the front LEDs. I will include the blink codes below, but lets try to at least get the system up and running. First, I would like you to remove the RAM sticks from the laptop and just reseat one stick back in the machine. Try to boot with that one stick, if it does not, try the other alone. There have been issues when reseating the ram or re-installing it have temp. fixed the issue. If it does reboot, go to the HP support site, put in your model number of your laptop and download and install an updated BIOS. Below are the blink codes that may narrow down the problem.....

HP DV6000 LED Blink Codes

LED Component Error Condition
Blinking battery power LED Battery Insufficient charge on the battery
Blink: 1 - Caps Lock/Num Lock CPU CPU not functional
Blink: 2 - Caps Lock/Num Lock BIOS BIOS corruption failure
Blink: 3 - Caps Lock/Num Lock Memory Module error not functional
Blink: 4 - Caps Lock/Num Lock Graphics Graphics controller not functional
Blink: 5 - Caps Lock/Num Lock System board General system board failure
Blink: 6 - Caps Lock/Num Lock BIOS BIOS authentication failure

I have an arrow storm ,,,replaced motors with 4 pole motors , stronger, as well as a joystick , now it runs a few days and kills the joystick

UpGrading the Motors is your problem, they are stronger which is why your joy stick is being killed. Your joy stick is only rated for so much amps, ie voltage. By upgrading your motors you put an Incrediable strain on the joy stick, it tries to compensate for the newly added motors but fails.
