Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Hi, I am able to have all the cables appropriately connected and see the PC screen on my TV. However, the picture is not stable on my TV, and actually very trembling/shaking, and I could not correct it with the 4 arrow buttons on the converter (unless I am not aware of the right way to do that). I would appreciate your help. Thanks, Yuval

Change the refresh rate on the TV monitor.

To change it in Windows 7

To change it in Windows XP

Start with a refresh rate of 60 and adjust upward until you find one that looks right or check your TV monitor manual.

I am getting no service on my Samsung TV- using Direct TV. Also cannot reach service line which I pay for monthly.Samsung TV- Direct TV. Picturing working in Living Room, not in Bedroom.

Make sure the DirecTv receiver is powered, and the appropriate cables are connected correctly to the tv, then use your tv remote to change inputs to the one the cables are connected to. (Hdmi1 for hdmi1, etc). As long as you have the right input, and both items are powered, you should at least have a message on screen, if not programming.

Have no picture or sound why

here is a link for your tv's manual:

1. make sure you have power

a. connect a working device such as a clock, radio, or lamp to the wall receptacle to verify power works at receptacle b. confirm power cord is firmly inserted into receptacle and to the tv. c. some appliances have a main power switch in addition to an on/off switch. confirm that if this is the case and make sure the main switch is set to on if applicable. d. check tv to be sure it is powering on. you should see a power indicator illuminate or you may see the screen illuminate and perhaps display a logo screen when it is turned on. If the set is on, operating volume and channel or other functions should display something on the screen.

2. Make sure a working device is connected to your TV and is powered on.

a.. if the set is powered on, a source must be connected to the set in order to view a picture and hear sound. you should see connectors on the back of the set for various devices and connections. If you have an antenna, connect it to the antennae connector terminal. you will need to acces the settings to do a channel scan or set up to see any channels you might receive. may have a dvd player or set top box for satellite or cable or an internet streaming device such as a roku to connect. connect the device using the appropriate connectors and cables. once the output of the device is connected to an input on the set, select the input the device is connected to on the set from the tv remote or the side panel buttons and power on the device. hopefully you will see a screen displayed on your tv. if your audio is connected, you should be able to play a video and hear sound. just check all connections to be sure your output connections on your connected devices are attached to the appropriate inputs on your set with the appropriate cables. you may need hdmi, s-video, optical, rca or other cables depending on the device connections and your set connections.

c. if you still can not get a picture or sound, try your device with another set and try other devices on your set such as another dvd player or a camera.

hope this helps.

How do I get my PC video signal to my TV. I s there a way with a wireless router and how will that be connected to my TV. Thank you.

Hi, you can use basic video cables to get your TV to act as a monitor. It depends on which ports your computer and TV have. You can use an S-video cable, a serial cable (with the blue connector that many monitors use), an HDMI cable, or a DVI cable. If both your computer and your TV both have any of these same ports, all you need is the cable and you can have your TV receive video signals from your computer.

Hope that helps!

L am trying to connect the TV to PC and the screen get black and the power indicator light blinks steadly. What should I do?

Hi lammecksawu
Use a VGA (RGB) cable to connect it to the TV from the computer. If you have a desktop computer, you have this cable already connecting the PC to the Screen. Or you can use the HDMI cable.
Turn the poer off, connect the PC and TV with the cable, then power on
From the TV menu select the appropriate input source
From the PC desktop, select the appropriate resolution.
You should be able to get the computer screen display on the TV pretty easily.
Hope this will help you

No picture from computer to pc

Please check the following things:

(i) You're using an appropriate cable to connect the TV to the Computer.
(ii) The cable is connected to the out port on the Computer and the corresponding in-port on the TV.
(iii) You've selected the correct input on the TV.
(iv) Dual display is enabled on the Computer.
(v) The resolution of the video signal being transmitted from the Computer to the TV should map the display resolution support by the TV. In this case, you may try lowering down the resolution of the TV in the Display Settings window of the Computer after selecting the second display.

Normal Picture Mode Not Available With Cox HD-DVR (Motorola DCH3416) and HDMI Cable

With an HDMI cable connected, the cable box determines the picture size. The settings on the cable box must be changed in order for you to get the correct picture size. I have some experience with Motorola cable boxes; usually to access the settings you turn the box OFF and then press the menu or settings button on the box to bring up the display menu. Hope this helps!
