The short answer is "no" and I have to ask, why would you want to, if you are thinking that you could use it to provide high pressure air to blow stuff off your deck, it won't work, the pump requires liquid in order to get enough pressure to push the water at high pressure

the reason i asked was to see if the engine ran. I was looking at a unit to buy , we live in minnesota so water hook up out side is kinda tuff. I wanted to see if the honda motor ran

Well in that case you can run it briefly, but i wouldn't advse runnig it for more than a minute or two

one more thing, you really need to hook it up to a water supply to see if it works, otherwise you may just buy a running motor with a pump and compressor that doesn't work.

Have a tradesman h120 pressure washer..it will not spray any water at all.. pump is workig?

If the pump was run without having the supply hose hooked up and water to the pump before turning it on, you have destroyed the seals and they need replacing.

Does it hurt a pressure washer to run hot water thought it went they hook up the water for outside to hook it to the hot water i did not no it and i hook it to the pressure washer

most pressure washers have packings that can sustain a temperature of 140 degrees although it as strongly not recommended since the pump head heats up when in bypass mode(triggergun closed)best rule for pressure washer is never leave the trigger closed for more than 3 minutes even with a thermal sensor:):)

Engine runs , not getting any water flow when trigger pressed.

Disconnect hoses.
Look for kink in water hose.
Check incoming water connection for filter washer
Replace filter washer
If you don't have a filter washer, put one in.
Hook up water, and turn on
Water should come out other side of pump.
Turn on machine.
Do you get pressured water out of pump.
If no pressure, then pump is suspect
Hook up washer hose without gun
Does pressure come out of washer hose
Finally, the gun trigger may be bad.

We had to buy guns now and then.
Search for pressure washer guns
Following link shows guns we used:

Water goes thru. have hydrulic oil to level. gun semas to stick on. NOT GETTING ANY PRESSURE AT NOSSEL.

Hydraulic oil?
Is this a pressure washer?
Pump should be half full of SAE20 or SAE30 non-detergent motor oil.
Engine should have 10W30 motor oil.

If you have a pressure washer ... and not water is coming out end of gun:
Take all hoses off machine.
Look at incoming water hose connection.
The should be a filter washer.
Clean or replace filter washer.
Hook up water and turn on water.
Water should come out other side of pump.
Turn on power washer and see if water coming out of pump is pressurized.
Now hook up pressure hose without gun.
Turn on pressure washer and see if water comes out of hose and is pressurized.
Finally, the gun may be bad.
We used to replace guns when they went bad.

All you can test without water, is the spin and pump functions..
The heater and the wash action will not work without the correct amount of water in the washer.
Hope this helps.
