Vivitar image management software disk will not work , I have noted previous comments about similar situations on digitlal cameras from same manufacturer

Generally the auto timer is under the setting's when your already in picture mode with the camera on. Sometimes it can be found on the camera in the form of a hotkey on the back or side

GETTING VIVITAR5100 TO PRODUCE PICTURE IMAGES ON COMPUTER


You can try to re-install your software and drivers.

Also, get a card reader. Download your files from a card reader and not necessary to use the usb cable connected to the computer.
