If your Linksys admin password was not changed and your router is unsecured then someone could have changed your router's settings and network password.
To reset the Linksys back to the default settings - Press and hold the pinhole RESET button at the back of therouter with the power ON for 20 secs. then release the RESET button.
To connect to your wireless router, the router's wireless settings needs to beconfigured with the SSID, encryption etc. and also the wireless cards in allthe laptops/computers needs to be configured with these router's wirelesssettings. Then the laptops/desktop computers can communicate with your wirelessrouter.
Connect a LAN cable from the Linksys to the LAN port on your computer.
Open a browser and enter the Linksys configuration URL
The default login = admin
The default PW = admin
You can protect your router by changing the default PW (write it down and putit in a safe place)
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2encryption.
Apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.

I have forgot the password of privacy lock of my samsung sgh m200 plz tell the correct way

Your Samsung device requests PIN (Personal Identification Number) and PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) codes to protect your SIM card and device against unauthorized use. Note that all PIN and PUK codes are provided by your network operator. Samsung is not able to provide you PIN or PUK codes.

Please take note of the following:

When your insert your SIM card and boot up your device for the first time, you need to enter the PIN code. For security reasons it is recommended to change it to your own code, instructions on how to change the PIN code in your device is provided in the user guide or Nokia web site. If the PIN code is entered incorrectly multiple times, your device may request a PUK code to further validate the user's identity and to unlock and change the blocked PIN code.

The PIN2 code is a PIN code which acts as a second layer of protection for certain features of your phone. If the PIN2 code is entered incorrectly multiple times, your phone may request a PUK2 code.

If you have forgot or simply do not know the codes, you must contact your Network Operator for assistance. However, if you have already contacted but the code does not work, you should consider getting a new SIM card.

Hello, i have a hp Hp Ipaq 5455 and want to use a wi-fi connection at home and traveling.I can see the wireless networks and it says connected after i write the secret password that was given to me from...

I would say that either your password is not right either wrong or in the wrong "keyslot"or your hp isn't getting the proper numbers from the router. Since you can see them and connect we can be almost certain there is nothing wrong other than a setting.

Past that a incorrect password or on some wifis incorrect case of letters or wrong position would do exactly this. Basically every time your hp (or any other device) sends data to the wifi it will send the password info. It doesn't need to have the password to see or even connect but to get the data past what is basically a firewall it needs the key which is the password etc. Usually the case doesn't matter for most wifi routers but on some it does all the time and on others it does if they are setup that way. I've been caught by that more than once as case is unusual. To any electronic device Password and password are two totally different things. As well there are normally 4 key slots or positions that password is associated with. You can actually have 4 different pass codes as a result. And again even if the password is the same if it isn't in the right slot then the router will ignore it as it is incorrect. Basically you have to keep trying to enter it in while trying any variations. You can also yell and call it names. Doesn't help but can make you feel a bit better about this irritation ;-)

Last thing is that a lot of networks use what is called DHCP service or Dynamic Host Control Protocol. All that nonsense means is that when you get connected the router assigns the numbers to the device. That is how it is supposed to work. What happens on a few handhelds is that this does not want to work so what you have to do is manually enter in the numbers. You need a ip# (something like, a net mask (usually a gateway number which is the ip of your router (will be something like and then you need the DNS numbers for your ISP which will be sim in layout to the previous examples.Once you enter these in you will be able to connect to the lan and out to the internet. I still use my Palm Lifedrive and it has this issue on some routers. On the ones that I have manually entered them in the network runs faster so it is worth doing.

So you need to keep checking the password and slot (till it hurts) as well as considering putting in the numbers manually. If you need help with that you can reply here and either myself or someone else can assist with that.

No the password.but wont let us into the bios,it just continues to windows

Hi kellydmurry,

If you have the right password then you should be able to get into the bios , it could happen that the password you are entering is a wrong one , therefore without displaying any warning to you the laptop is not going into the bios mode.

A good idea would be to check the caps key which you enter the password, try it one at time.

If you entered wrong password multiple times , it won't accept the real password for much time, so you need to wait at least for 15 minutes before retrying..
Hope this helps ...:)

Grandaughter put in password does not remember it and when trying to use phone PUK Bloocked shows up

the following codes are provided by the network operator:

-pin code
-puk code

both of these codes are provided when you purchase a sim card and are usually written on the sim holder or on the provided booklet.
if u have the puk code, then u can enter a wrong pin multiple time and then the sim card will ask you for the puk code which then u can use to unlock the sim.
if u lost both the sim and puk, then the only way is to contact the network operator to give you a new sim card.

Don't try to enter a PUK code without knowing the right one.
hope this helps

I'm trying to connect my iphone to a friends wireless router and it keeps telling me I'm entering the wrong passkey

I can't count how many times I've told people this...
You're typing the right password, but the network either isn't the right TYPE (A,B,G or N) or the Encryption type on the password isn't being set right on the iphone You need to know the password, AND whether or not it's WEP, or WPA Then set it up in your settings to use that specific encoding type, and then try entering the pass :)

Wi fi not letting me join

The blah blah, is importand as it will tell us why it isn't connecting. if you include the following info it will make it easier to help you. The normal thing to do is just to start over, unless you have other wireless devices connected.Right click on the network icon on the desktop, click properties, and go to make a new connection, in the left side of t the window, the wizard will walk you through the entire process. Sometimes when people try connecting several times it can change settings. Are there wired mahines, or is there just your machine. If it's just you then the wizard should work fine, but if you are on a network, you may have to include the encryption key and encryption type, like wap or wpa1 wpa2 , you must use the same key and same encryption to get it right
