Wen you say the computer is running slowly, do you mean the overall programs or just Internet (browser)???

If it's the computer, first check all components (RAM, HARD DRIVE, NETWORK CARD, etc...) than check for VIRUS, MALWARE, SPYWARE, etc..

If it's the Internet connection, first check the modem connectivity, the router's connectivity, wiring, wireless connectivity, etc..., call your Internet provider to make sure they don't have any connection problems, do a speed test, (www.speedtest.net)

GOOD LUCK!

My computer works so slowly

The computer might be running slowly as there might be a lot of programmes running in the back of your computer try the below mentioned steps and they should help your computer performance increase

Go to start / Run / Msconfig
and under startup items disable the programmes which you feel that are not necessary and you do not use them all the times.

Please follow the steps in the below link on how to carry out the msconfig

Computer runs too slowly and ''grinds''

Depending on the situation, It could be you need more ram. If your running Windows Vista, 2-3 years old computers are probably coming with about 512mb-2 gb's or ram. In which case grab at least 3 gb's or ram and you'll be ok. If it's an xp system. grab at least 1gb or ram. Internet delay though could possibly be due to your ISP or perhaps a virus/spyware. There are certain viruses and spyware that slow down internet connection while leaving your pc running fast.
