Question about Car Audio & Video
Hello, Welcome to Fixya.com
Sounds like what you got here is a hardware issue with the mechanism inside the player. Many times this can be cause by debris or dust getting inside the unit from the outside. This being a automotive electronics it would seem to be also related to what I am talking about. You can try and get a laser cleaning kit to clean the laser pictured below:
You can also try to reset the system by unplugging the system from the harness this could involve some work to do. Many people cut the power by unplugging the battery but that can be dangerous if this vehicle has airbags. Not know what type of car or what type of system this is or what I am working with here I am giving you general advice that could work out for you.
If you choose to follow any advice on the internet you do so at your own risk regardless of a persons claim to be a expert or not. Fixya does not hire experts you hire us by voting on our solutions.
