Re: please help me
To install Windows XP, you will need copy of the CD or a Recovery disk that comes with laptop at the time of purchase.
It can take approx. 1hour more or less depending on the amount of memory and cpu on your system. First put in your CD into the drive and restart computer. If the CD doesn't boot you will need to restart computer and when the computer starts up, press the F12 key and then select the CD/DVD option to load from the cd. Once you have done that the system will go to boot from cd, it will say press any key to boot from CD. Then press any key on laptop. Follow on screen instructions as you wait to get to next step. You will get an option to recover system or to put full new version. Now if you have XP and you want to keep you files, you can choose to install without formatting and keep all your saved files. If not you can delete the partition and reset a new one and format drive NTFS. Then system will start intsalling. Keep an eye on it while you wait as it will stop with questions needed to fill out to move on with installation Good Luck. Here is the link to your laptop for drivers, just copy the entire lot by highlighting the address and press and hold CRTL key and press c. This will copy the address to clipboard, and to paste it into your web browser right click on the search bar right up the top and select paste. Then press enter.

You can access Vista disk management (right click on computer from the Start Menu > Manage > Storage > Disk Management) and shrink your current partition and create a new one. Then install XP on that new partition. This is if you want a dual boot of both XP and Vista.

You cannot uninstall Windows Vista, but you can reinstall your previous operating system, which then replaces Windows Vista. To reinstall your old operating system, you must have the original installation disc. Back up your programs and files, insert the installation disc into your computer, and then reinstall the old operating system. To regain the hard disk space used by Windows Vista, reformat the disk during the reinstallation process. After reinstalling your previous operating system, reinstall your programs and files.
