Hi, how do you do? As I find here the it need a USB Charger, and it will be 5V/500mAH so you can use any charger with this specs, but it will be better if you use your MP3 Player specific charger, and you can find it here: http://www.machspeedstore.com/mscart/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=18
you don't mentioned the device exact model so double check the charger model on this website.
hope this work. keep in touch with me. Babak

I just got the mp3 player. ive been charging it but when i disconnect it from my computer it shuts off and wont turn back on. HELP!

Some older computers that have USB ports that limit the output to 5V @ .5 amp current. Depending on your MP3 player, it may not be sufficient to charge the player. This was the spec back then. Since then, new USB specs call for 5V @ 1.0 amp current - a two fold increase in current.

You may have better luck connecting to a powered USB hub instead. If you're only looking to charge the MP3 player, you don't even need to connect it to the computer. The powered hub gets powered by connecting the ac adapter / power supply to a wall outlet - instead from of the computer's power supply via mother board.

The above assumes there is a good, rechargeable battery; a functioning charger & USB port in the MP3 player and of course, a working USB cable. If any of the above is faulty, you'll never get the MP3 Player to accept a charge. You should try different computers, cables and ports if possible.

Good luck!

MY MP3 DOESN'T CHARGE

There is a trick to charging the battery in these small mp3 players. It wont charge if it is turned on, and it won't charges if it's turned off. Here what to do...
1. plug the payer into your USB port. or wall charger
2. switch thje palyer on using the mechanical switch (on the side)
3. turn it off by either holding down the play button, or selecting "System" from the menu
4. The screen will go black and the battery will begin charging.

Can the Mach Speed Trio be connected to an ipod dock?

As long as your stereo has a usb port to plug your usb cable to it any player should charge off it. I have not seen one that wont charge off a usb port. You an even buy a wall charger that is a converter for you usb player so taht you can charge it without needing a computer. hope this helps

Apple ipod not getting charged

What type of IPod is this? Also what type of charger are you using? If the ipod does not have a charge at all you will need to plug it into a wall charger for it to get a "Base charge" (this usually takes 5-10 minutes) as if the ipod is totally dead then there is not enough of a charge for the ipod to let your computer know it is there to start being charged. After it has the base charge you can use the usb connection to finish the charge or leave it plugged into the wall charger to finish getting the charge.

I purchased one of these and I don't have access to a computer all the time is there any way to charge it without the usb cord?

you can purchase a generic ipod wall charger and then you can plug the usb into the player and into the wall charger to charge the unit. You obviously have to have the usb cord but not the computer. Wal-mart has the generic wall plug pretty cheap.

Charging

You shouldn't try to charge it off your computer; it will take foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. You should buy a 5 Volt 1.5 Amp output wall charger.
