You can undo your actions by doing system restore. System restore will bring back your computer to a certain time in the past. It's not going to delete any files that you have in your computer but it will undo the changes in the software or programs in your computer.

Here's what you need to do.

1. Click on START>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore.
2. Select a restore point. The restore point should be date when the web cam was not yet removed.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions until the restore is complete. It will you tell if it's successful or not. If not, do the same procedure but select a different restore point. By the way, the computer will restart by itself while it's doing the restoration so don't touch anything while it's doing the process.

I hope this help.

Thank you for using fixya.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

My crystal eye web cam is completely gone from my computer.

ACER Aspire 5737Z – Acer Crystal Eye WebCam camera no found
I had the symptom where ‘no camera found’ and the device not showing in device manager (unless you expose hidden devices, but was visable via non present hardware (exposed via system variable
devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1)
Solution – Disable and Enable USB Controllers
1. From Device Manager
2. Right click and uninstall the Standard Enhanced the Universal Serial Bus controllers -> Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller – do this for both via right click - uninstall.
3. Right Click <YourSystemName> from the top of Device Manager, Click Scan for Hardware Changes.
4. Your Acer Crystal Webcam should now back under Imaging Devices, and working again!
5. Strange but seems to fix it, good luck!
I also pressed the top of the laptop screen to the left and right of the camera at around the same time. Not sure if something clicked back into place, either way above is a simple thing to try... Hope this helps.

The problem is with Camera driver.

Please uninstall the driver from Add/Remove Programmes and reinstall from media given by manufacture or download the latest driver from manufacture web site.

Hope it will work fine.

Hey,

Uninstall other crystal eye webcams you have installed
get the drivers from here
http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/downloads.html

If there are more the one driver available, try one, if it doesn't work, remove it and try next one.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks,

Normal 0 Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud

My web cam can't be found

That's your best bet.. Uninstall your original web cam in add/remove programs and try reinstalling it. More likely the 2nd camera slimed the first camera's installation. Uninstalling and reinstalling should freshen up things and fix the settings.

Try to locate the camera driver and do a update also might be a fix download for the Crystal Eye Cam through Acer Or another download site. Another idea would be to get a driver Program which checks all your drivers on the main items like keyboard, web cam , mouse, monitor, graphics the one i use is DriverDetective works great!

Vista does not include any way to test the camera. You may have QuickPlay in the Programs list - this will test the camera.
You can use MSN messenger and establish a video link or load Skype.
Try this
Willing WebCam Lite from www.willingsoftware.com if you want to test it.

This is a common problem for Acer models using Crystal Eye. Delete the web cam from Add or remove programs. Delete all pictures from My Documents. Reinstall Bison Web cam driver. Will work!!!
