Get a lot of vibration on the high spin cycle. Looks like I need to replace the bearings. Can you replace just the bearings? I saw the whole drum can be replaced.

It depends on the make and model of the machine you have. Some drums are bolted together with a front and a back half that split apart. some are heat sealed at the point of manufacture and can't be split. If you take the top off your machine, it should be pretty cleat if the 2 halves are bolted together (You will see bolts). Just be aware that for the noviice, this is a nightmare job. Not only do you have to get the drum out, you then have to knock out the old bearings with ppopriatly sized drifts, without damaging the seats they sit in. THEN you have to get the new ones in without doing any damage to the bearings ot the seats, then you have to get the seal between the 2 halves to seal without any leaks. I recondition machines for a living and I avoid bearing swaps like the plague. I would seriously consider consigning the machine to the scrapheap, rather than doing it yourself!

The polystyrene is what protects your baby from harm in the event of an impact. It is not recommended that the seat is used with damaged polystyrene.

You can obtain a replacement polystyrene via your local retailer or by contacting the customer service department on 01284 413 141 Mon-Fri 8.30-4.30 (Excluding Bank Holidays)

I've lost the head rest and back support foam. Where can I buy a new one?

Good Afternoon

The headhugger/lumbar support wedge are not available as a seperate spare part item from Maxi Cosi. They come as part of the complete replacement fabric set for the CabrioFix carseat.

If you're in the UK you can order the complete replacement fabric set via your local Maxi Cosi retailer or direct with the customer service department on 01284 413 141 Mon-Fri 8.30-4.30. The RRP is £39.99 and if you purchase direct cost will be RRP plus £3.99 p+p.

If you're outside the UK please go to and select the country you're in, then use "Contact Us" to enquire about availability and costs from the customer service department in your country.

Ive got a maxi cosi cabrio fix - i washed the headhugger/bottom support cushion that comes out (for when they are tiny) and the material has torn and the foam inner has come out - can i get a replacement...

It is normal for the headhugger to be attached to a peice of fabric lower down that contains the newborn foam cushion, this fabric is usually open so that the foam can be removed for washing.
If you want to purchase a new part, contact the link below, who will be able to assist.

I hope this helps.

My daughter is only 18lb's but seems too tall for the maxi cosi cabriofix. when can she move in to her maxi cosi axiss???

You should keep your child in her Cabrio carseat unless she exceeds 13kg OR her head is higher than the back of the carseat. Make sure that you have removed the newborn support and head hugger too as this can free up a lot of space.
If she is too tall for the Cabrio and is at least 9kg and can sit un-aided for 20 mins, she can move up to the next seat (group 1), this would be the axiss.

I hope this helps.

Broken handle

If you contact they should be able to advise althought I fear that you will have to buy a replacement car seat shell as I am not confident that just the handle can be replaced.

I hope this helps.

Hi, weare missing the bars that fit under the

If you purchased the carseat without the bars, then this is a Cabrio and not a CabrioFix carseat, and nothing can be done to adapt this to become a CabrioFix.

I hope this helps.

Spare Parts

Contact Maxi-Cosi on 01842767965 as they sell a replacement fabric set for £40 plus postage which includes the head hugger etc. Not sure about the foam but they will tell you if they do it.

This is also available from some Maxi-Cosi retailers to order and may save the postage. Google maxi cosi replacement fabric and you should get some options. Hope this helps!
