Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
You will need to gain access to the drain motor filter. Here are my guidance notes for checking both the drain filter and the drain motor ;-0)
-------------------------------------

If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play!

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!
John C

    Aloha,

Oh my goodness this information was so helpful and you were right about the front circle pannel being a stinker to take off where the drainage pump is located at lower left front footing pannel, but once we removed the front circle pannel it was smooth sailing from than on. I removed all kinds of stuff from the drainage and it is in working condition again. Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you :-)

Great advice, worked like a charm. Fastest washer repair ever -- washer flashed "drainage blockage" , searched internet found this post, cleaned filter and motor -- 10 min total.

My advice would after you remove the front plate use a wet vac holding the nozzle near the filter cap. As you slowly open the cap **** up the water. If you do it slowly enough you'll avoid a mess.

Good advice about the 'wet' vac. I will add that to my advice but with acknowledgment to you! Cheers, John C ;-0)

We have been emptying our washer by shop vac for a couple months now. Nothing in the pump. Once through the wash cycle it will try to drain and then flash drainage blocked. We vacumme out the water and set it to spin cycle. Once most of the water is out it will finish the spin and drain cycle by itself. Next we reset the 'wash' cycle to use as a rinse cycle and then repeat the process to finish the load. Could it be a computer chip in the board gone bad? Sure wish it would be an easy fix and we could get up off of the floor! :)

I have godrej gda 902 water is not getting drain after its first cycle of process can any one tell me what might be the problem

The drainage pipe is blocked up. this is a common problem amongst washing machines. People forget to check the pockets before a wash and dirt and fibers start to get stuck inside of the pipes and soon it is blocked and will not drain or drains very slowly.
Solution is to take the machine outside and unhook the drainage pipe. most of the time the blockage is there and is easily removed.
If not, hook the machine up outside and when the drainage cycle is suppose to start try to see if the blockage can be removed by spraying high pressure water up where the pipe has been disconnected. The resulting push of water from both sides may be enough to breakup the materials blocking the pipe.

Another AEG e20 Plea, tried everything please help!

E20 on your machine means some sort of drain problem. If it actually goes through the spin cycle fine; some water will still not drain out at the time of the tumble dry. Check the wall drain to make sure it isn't clogged..

Check the drain of your wall, not the washer, this shd be cleaned out thoroughly; and the exit pipe of your washer should not fit too tight into it, there shd be some space for air.

Doewoo no frost fridge freezer is working fine except that we keep getting puddles of water under the freezer door. any ideas. had about 4 years now

probably a blocked drain outlet or pipe. At the bottom rear of the unit, mine had a drain pipe blocked with a plug of mould (5/6 years old machine), apparently quite common. I detached the pipe and cleaned it out and replaced it.
From inside the freezer, I removed the lower back panel and thawed the ice build up on the drainage tray below the defrost heating element, leading to the pipe outside. The puddles of water that was appearing every defrost cycle have now stopped - permanently I hope. Hope this helps you

Water is dripping from the inside unit and not coming out of the drainage pipe outside

The reason the water is coming out of the unit and not the drainage pipe outside is for a few possible reasons.
1 -the drain pipe is clogged / plugged (due to calcium build up,or frozen)
2- the line is kinked or blocked.
check the drain pipe carefully, there may be obstuctions.

Rinse fault f18

F-18 means the pump is blocked. When the machine fails, there may be an "electrical" smell as the motor has laboured. This is normal. Clean on bottom right corner and you should be fine. Drain pipe clogged. Follow insrtuctions that came with machine to drain using the little pipe bottom right. Then unscrew & clean rotor. pull out wahing machine and check drainage pipe at back is not blocked. Unscrew the drainage pipe from the sink waste and clear out. Also enaure pipe is kept high off floor and is not too long. This will help drainage and prevent pump trying to pump waste water upwards. If the pump is too old or worn out then it needs to be replaced. You can get required parts from www.repairclinic.com
Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.
