Hi there,

There are many products on the market which can be used to clean stubborn stains from the iron sole.

However, for realy stubborn problems I would use very fine sandpaper with a grit of aproximately 1200.

With a fair amount of rubbing or sanding it should be possible to remove any stain or mark from the bottom of the iron & provided you use a very fine sandpaper it wont leave any scratches.

Best wishes,

How do you remove cooking oil stains from carpet

I use a hot iron with an absorbent cloth between the iron and the carpet. i would also put carpet cleaning powder on it and let it sit for awhile. Ive spilled several candles on the floor and this works well because the oil is absorbed better when heated!

How to clean base of iron only 6 months old

If it has a non-stick sole plate: 1. heat 1 tablespoon each of vinegar and salt to boiling and then let cool - you want the salt to dissolve. 2. Use a nylon scrubbie that won't scratch and remove deposits/scorch areas with the solution. 3. If your iron is non-stick, it is supposed to be self cleaning. Happy Ironing.

After being used a couple of times and then stored for a year, the water will not spray when the trigger is depressed. I followed the instructions to prime the pump and also found that the red gasket is...

Possibly crud buildup from using non distilled water. Insert a calcium, lime, rust remover. The pink professional stuff works the best and stinks the most, but will leave a pink stain and may discolor/distort things. CLR may be slow, but is clear and I have never created a problem with it.

I need instructions on how to clean Digital Advantage Iron. I have lost my manual.

any iron can be cleaned by running a little water and vinegar through it several times, it loosens the scale build up that gets in all irons over time, be sure and try to clean out the venting steam holes in the face of the iron, Once you do this, run clean clear water through it and you should be fine, if possible, always use bottled water (purified) water in irons

Vacuum smells

My wife happens to have a rainbow that I picked up at an auction for $2.00.
When it begins to smell, we use a quarter cup of vinagar in with the water and use as usual.
You may not apprectiate the smell of vinagar, believe me, it works.
It may take a couple of vacuum sessions and changing of the vinager water each time, but one good thing about vinagar, it is an old time disinfectant.
