Question about Avaya Lucent Partner Phone System
This sounds like there's some kind of fax tone detection equipment on the receiver's end that's not hearing the tones. This could be part of the line share, messaging card issue, or the connection you have to the called party.
If this is somene you fax frequently and they don't have a dedicated number, have them get one, or scan and email the material. I have an electronic fax number (www.maxemail.com) that costs me about $24 a year. I can send or receive faxes from my computer and email account, or I can actually use the SCAN feature of my fax machine and email the TIF or PDF file it creates.
