Panasonic CD changers have a specific plug in that will not work with the Pioneer head unit. The Pioneer uses the IP-BUS plug. You will also not be able to convert the unit to work because the data between the two cannot be controlled and you won't have the ability to use the units together.

Have you checked to see if the there is a blown fuse? Check to make sure of that first. If it is good then the only reason for it not working is the CD changer motor is fried. Do you ever smell anything burnt or hear any noises when you connect it? If you do hear anything but it wont power on, then its bad. hope this helps
