Hi im a hotel and i am haveing problems hucking up my wii

Sometimes hotels knowingly block other devices from being plugged in that you're not paying for. If this isn't the case though, try making sure you have the yellow-white-red cables plugged into the correct jacks. Then power on the Wii and try different inputs or sources on the remote. Otherwise just keeping going down the channels past channel 1. It might go down to Video 1,2 or 3, which most likely is one of the sources for the Wii.

It is just bringing up a blank screen.

The easiest solutions:

1. Make sure you plugged the audio/video cables into the proper plugs on the back of the tv. Be sure to match the colors of the plugs to the colors of the cables.

2. Make sure you press the "Input" or "Source" button on the tv's remote to ensure you're using the right input from the playstation.

3. Look at the power indicator on the playstation. Review the manual to locate indicators and such. You're looking for any warning indicators or sequences that indicate a hardware issue. If you find see any warnings or indications of a problem, power down the playstation.

4. If you are attempting to play a game, eject and insert the disc and try again.

5. Clean the playstation with a playstation cleaning kit. Try again.

6. If you can not determine the problem, or it is not resolved, visit the Sony Playstation support site: Scroll to the bottom and you will see the links to the direct support pages.

When i connect the DVD or Playstation to the AV of the HITACHI plasma ( model 42pd580dta ) I get a fickering black n white screen, no sound, you can just see the dvd or ps screen..Its like its not tuned...

Unplug foxtel three video pins cable and plug yellow video cable of dvd then play it, you will get correct and clear picture in video input.
You can not plug composite and component video at same time in video input of tv, that is cause of your problem.

I normally play my ps3 through HDMI. I am currently in a hotel trying to use it on a tv with only component inputs. How can I change the video setting without seeing the menus?

all you need to do is connect your ps3 to the tv using your hdmi cable and hold the on button on the ps3 for 6 seconds. You will hear the initial beep then a second beep, this will reset the settings on the system and it will change the settings to match the tv being used.

I am currently trying to hook up my playstation to my t.v. in the hotel & I have tried component cable, as well as an HDMI cable & the t.v. shows the cable is plugged in on the icon screen but...

connect the HDMI cable to the TV, then hold the "on/off" button on the ps3 for a few seconds, this causes the output settings to reset and the video/sound should work.

PS3/HDMI Cable problem. PLEASE HELP

Make sure you have the TV on the right input. Make sure it is on HDMI, and if you have multiple HDMI inputs look at the number embossed on the one you are using for your tv. Then his "input" or it might be called "Source" on your tv's remote. Match the input on the tv to what you plugged into the back of the tv and you should get a picture.

Playstation 3 console not displaying on tv screen

Make sure all the video cable connections are plugged firmly into the back of the PS3
The sound you are hearing indicates that you are on the right track. To get the video to work you will need to select the correct channel on your TV set. Connect the video cables (yellow) to the video INPUT of the AV port of your TV and then change to the AV channel on your TV set to view the picture.

Please let me know if this did not fix your problem

Playstation 3 hook up

If there is no picture on the TV screen: Back to top
  • Check that the input mode of the TV is appropriate for the connector in use on the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system.
  • There may be a problem with the cable in use. Try using another cable that is compatible with the PLAYSTATION®3.
  • If the video output settings on the PLAYSTATION®3 do not match those of the cable or TV in use, there may be no picture. If the screen goes blank, turn off the system.
  • Then, with only the PLAYSTATION®3 and the TV connected, touch the system's power button for more than 5 seconds to turn the system back on. The video output settings will automatically be reset to the standard resolution.

Go and speak with the front desk. And ask if there is a WEP key password for their wireless network. You may have to pay-to-play. But once you get the WEP key. Scan for a connection...choose your hotel's. Set everything to automatic...and input the provided WEP key. Should work fine.
