    1) Go to Start>Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices.

    2) Check that Device volume is on High.

    3) Then click Speaker Volume, make sure both Left and Right speakers are set to High.

    4) Click Ok.

Then go to the Audio tab, click on Advanced under sound playback.

Make sure Speaker setup is set to Desktop sterio speakers.

Then click on the Performance tab.

Make sure both slider bars are all the way to the right. At Full and Best.

    Click OK.

Go to Volume, you will now see the Mater Volume control.

Make sure all sliders are all the way up. Also make sure the balance slider is in the middle.

Exit this window after making changes.

See if the speakers are still playing softly.

Check to see if you have this problem with another speaker set on this PC. If so then it is indeed the settings or drivers of the PC and not the speaker system itself. In the case of the PC, I suggest you download the latest sound drivers for it. If you are useing onboard sound, give me the model number and manufacturer of the motherboard and I'll find the drivers for you. First try the sound settings detailed below.

I think that your speakers are probably broken, maybe you should try installing drivers first, if this doesn't help you can jump to the conclusion that they really are broken.

Computer speakers

I have experience with that model of speakers. When they give up the ghost, the volume is VERY low.Since they work well on another system, try this- check the volume properties to make sure nothing is set too low. Start>Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices. Check the slider bars here, check in the Advanced area as well to make sure nothing is low and check the Speaker Volume as well. If all the bars are set to their maximum, there is something else we're missing. Let me know what you come up with.
Thanks for using If you like my answer, please help me out and rate me accordingly.

Can't increase & decrease the volume

Double check your connections. Still not working fine. Remove the input jack connector and try to touch or hold the tip of the connector, also adjust the volume of the speaker, you should heard loudly the 60 hertz sound of your body signal. Otherwise you have a defective amplifier in the speaker system.
