It is routed over the engine pulley then around the front idler. As the idler drops, the belt is pulled against the engine pulley. ----------- Drop the mower deck all the way, it doesn't have to come off but that would give you more room. The main pulley on the engine held the drive belt but the belt running to the mower deck is usually below that drive so it must be removed. I would recommend pulling the spark plug wires from your plugs just to be safe. Disengage the blade and reach up to the spring loaded tensioner pulley between the engine and transmission, pull it back giving more slake to the mower belt. Pry the belt off the pulley while giving the pulley a slight turn. Once the mower deck belt is off you have a open shot at the drive belt. It goes around the engine pulley closest to the engine and then the transmission pulley. It also travels around an engagement pulley that moves when you depress the clutch . You will have to take ask someone to depress the clutch so you can see the travel of the engagement pulley. Loop your new belt around the engagement pulley so it get tighter when the clutch is released. Wala, done now just reinstall the deck belt is reverse order. -------------- Also click this link for more help:------- http://technoanswers.blogspot.com/2011/03/how-to-install-tension-pulley-back.html ------------ Check out.Keep updated.Thanks.Helpmech.

it sounds like you have a pulley alignment problem with one of the pulleys.did you have any left over washers or spacer not put back.the other problem is the belt tensioner may be worn and need replacing.these are the usual things that cause a belt coming off.if the belt is not on all the pulleys correctly it can throw a belt also.make sure there isn`t something(like a part of the timing cover)sometimes it doesn`t take much to cause this.

Don't even bother to repair the pull chain switch, get a new one at KMart, HomeDepot or similar store for less than $2.
Two times I've repaired one, it comes apart when I need it the most.

It sounds as if its the pulley off of the tensioner. After reinstalling the pulley you'll need to re-tension the belt. After which there should be a nut that threads on to the stud that holds that pulley in place, simply tighten this nut.

I hope this may have assited,

Dryer takes three cycles to dry took apart need help put back together

Model #?
If this is a standard dryer with the idler pulley, place the pulley into the slots to the left of the motor pulley. Bring the belt through the idler so it is running on the flat side of the belt and place the belt around the motor. The idler should be placing down pressure on the belt keeping it tight. make sure there are no twists all the way around the drum or it will pop off.

I am installing a new belt but the pulley that mounts to the ground i found was not attached and i am not posotive of its correct spot i need a diagram

The idler pulley goes in front of motor shaft. There is two slits in sheet metal where it slides in. after pulley is on. put the belt around drum and pinch belt together. put belt under idler wheel then put end on motor shaft. You can push up on idler pulley to get around motor.Make sure grooved side of belt is wrapped around drum. Good Luck!!

Can any body help put cambelt back together

You need to rotate the cam until timing marks on the sprocket are in line with the head, then make sure crank shaft timing mark is lined up. Install the belt. Might have to loosen the timing belt tensioner. Put timing belt tensioner back on, rotate the crank shaft with a wrench first to make sure there's no interference. Next, check compression.

LER6636PW0 drum does not turn

hi fakestar,
here is an exploded view of the dyer, and you can see where the pulley came off.8dd05ba.gifpart number 24 are the pulleys.

another picture is for the belt and the tensioner
1e696ba.gifpart number 53 is the tensioner and part number 56 is the belt.

it just tricky on how to put the belt.

first put the pulley back to its location then slowly insert the drum to the dryer while putting the belt around the drum with the grouve of the belt facing the drum.
have a helper hold unto the drum , in place, then lean underneath towards the motor and put the tensioner to its slot at the flooring, just like in the drawing, then insert part of the belt under the pulley of the tensioner then with your left hand, hold the tensioner pulley and with your right hand, grab the belt which you inserted under the pulley, and bend the tensioner towards the right with your left hand while the right hand is pulling the belt towards the motor until the belt loops to the motor's pulley.

i hope i was able to explain that one.

that is really tricky to put on.

tnx 4 using fixya,
