If the error code on your computer says something about "parts are at the end of life", or if the lights are flashing alternately, there's a reset for "full ink pads" available. Epson dumps ink when you clean the print head into a pad in the bottom of the printer. Ideally, that needs to be replaced and the chip that counts the ink reset. Unfortunately, the labor cost to replace the pad is more than replacing the printer.

this problem is usually fixed easily. this commonly occurs when print head is clogged. I use a facial tissue and alcohol to clean the head with the ink cartridge in an upside down position (if possible) then i print one or two test prints to get it back to normal.

Ok, like most inkjet printers, cartridges can be a headache. I use alcohol and tissue to clean the spray heads of the cartridges. then it is important to clean the electronic connections of both the cartridge and the printer. This connection not only helps measure the ink cartridge but also senses if the cartridge is inserted properly. not sensing a new cartridge was a constant problem with a recent HP printer i bought. cleaning it solved that problem.

It's too expensive for replacing the head. Better buying new printer. Btw, try cleaning print head using manual procedure. Just browse here. It post many times.

i have same model need to clean head of catridge then used air spray to clean heads of printer then install back again if this don't work then need to get new cartridge

To resolve this issue, you need to print a nozzle check pattern and then determine if print head cleanning is need.
To print nozzle check, follow the steps below.

1. Turn off the Artisan Series and your computer, if connected.
2. Disconnect any connected USB cables.
3. Load plain paper in the main tray.
4. Press the On button to turn the Artisan 800 Series on again.
5. Press Setup.
6. Select Maintenance.
7. Select Nozzle Check.
8. Press Start.
9. The Artisan Series begins printing the nozzle check pattern.
10. If there are no gaps, select Finish Nozzle Check.
    If there are gaps, select Head Cleaning.

If the nozzle check pattern page prints correctly, the problem may be with your software settings, the interface cable, or your computer.

Hi you should clean the print head and you need to take out the cartridge and pay close attention as you put it back into the printer because it may not be fitted in place properly.

Is it just not printing on the paper and feeding it thru, or will it just not do anything? I need more info?
