Hi

There is probably a problem in your motor inside the body of the machine. Either the pump is not generating air or the device is not properly clean. Do calibrate the device using the Service manual given on the purchase of device.

Scale of blood pressures at ages 70 to 80?

This can vary quite a bit as your plumbing is not what it used to be. It is now recognized that increasing BP in older people is in fact not normal or desirable, and should be treated. However authorities say that aggressive treatment and large decreases in BP may be just as risky. BP in older people is always worth checking.

Still, since we are talking about a range of persons, we have to look up averages. If the reading is about 140/90 or above you should ask the doctor about it, but the doc may consider this is OK,

If it is 130-140 over 80-90 you are doing very well. If much less, ask the doctor.

Now a longer record at different times will tell the doctor a great deal more, so you might want to get a home BP meter, have the doc check it, and keep a record of random readings. I have one, I'm an old f**t, I take 2 tablets, and the meter has been very informative.

Sorry, I've been using an ADVOCATE meter since my heart attack in 11/2012. Mine is a wrist monitor and I've taken it to my PCP and my Cardiologist's offices to compare results, and I am quite happy with this wrist monitor. I can fit it into my lunch bag and take my BP during my work-day (I've also got a tiny Glucose meter that fits into the cusp of this BP meter - I take my BP & BS 3x daily). Good luck.

I believe you will need something like that ..It is used normally for fixing holes in sports balls ..and if it works for balls under pressure ..it will work on the pump as well...I think it is a synthetic rubber solution ..that adheres on the original one ...(I think it has to be inserted in the interior ..side..with a syringe ...) My advice is to detach the pump before insert the solution ..(read the user guide) ..and this way you should be able to blow air inside from the end you detached ..and seal it proper in the hole..

WHAT WOULD BE CONSIDERED LOW BLOOD PRESSURE?IS IT NORMAL FOR MY TOP NUMBER TO CHANGE FROM 104 TO 129 IN ABOUT 5 MINUTES?

There are standard methods for measuring BP. One should be seated on chair, feet on ground, leaned back, relaxed for at least 5 minutes, at least 2 hrs after a meal, .... then repeating this procedure several times daily, and averaging will provide some ave daily BP value.
Using this procedure for hourly BP measures, one can adjust times and doses of BP medicines taken daily.
