Question about Heating & Cooling

Central Controller Model G-50A I have nine locations/units all on the one daily on/off program/schedule. I wish to change the set Temp from 24 degrees auto to 21 degrees auto. I understand each unit has to be programmed individually. Question: how do I move from G01 to G02, G03 etc

If the system is connected to the integrated centralized control software, make all settings and changes from the TG-2000A so that the data in TG-2000A and G-50A will match.

Monitoring and operation of the air conditioners

To monitor and operate the air conditioners, license for GB-50A License Pack or Web Monitor must be purchased and registered. Purchase the license from the dealer, and register on the Initial Setting Web or on the Web for Monitor and Operation.

The format in which the Web page address for each GB-50A is expressed on the Web browser, as well as the default user name and password are shown below.
http://[IP address of the GB-50A]/administrator.html
Note: For example, type http://192.168.1.1/administrator.html if the GB-50A IP address is [192.168.1.1].

Default user name: administrator
Default password: admin

Notes

  • With the registration of GB-50A License Pack, Web Monitor, Annual Schedule, Weekly Schedule, Sending Error Mail, and Maintenance Tool Advanced functions will be available.
  • Consult the dealer for information on other functions that require a license (i.e. Charge, Saving Energy Control).
  • Ask the dealer for the Web Browser Operation manual, which covers monitor and operation of air conditioners.
  • Initial settings such as making group changes are covered in the Initial Setting Web manual.

Why does my Honeywell thermostat state temporarily set at 68 degrees? A few days later, it will be set at 62 degrees without anyone touching the thermostat?

It's a programmable thermostat. When you change the temperature, it will say temporary until the next programmed schedule starts or a set amount of time. You will have to program the thermostat to the correct temp settings you wish to have, or you can push "HOLD" after changing the temp to make it stay at that set point. Hope this helps!

Honeywell cm61 wireless programmer switches heat on before set time

Overlapping time periods can cause a lot of trouble. Removing the battery's will erase any programming that may have been done before now. The factory program is just for basic operation and they don't normally have any schedules or operational customer programs in them. The factory program will not be affected by removing the battery's. It's also much easier to do all this while sitting at a table and not hunched over at the wall. Remove the old battery's and replace them with new ones. The battery's are used to store your programming so be sure to put good battery's back in before starting. I will change this to use the word "Program" in place of the word "PERIOD" that I am most familiar with. Its a little complicated, but I think it will solve your problem. --------->One "SCHEDULE" covers a 24 hour block of time or One Day. Each block of time in the schedule from a "start time" to a "stop or temperature change time" is one "PROGRAM" in the "SCHEDULE". Here is an example of how to program one complete "SCHEDULE", (One day of 24 hours) Containing 4 Programs . ----- Get a large piece of paper and write down EXACTLY what you want your thermostat to do in ONE, 24 hour day. THE EXAMPLE> ----- You want your furnace to start at 5:00 AM and warm the house to 72 degrees by 5;30 when you get up. Write down "72 degrees from 5;00 AM to 6;30 AM", or when you expect to leave the house. Then write down "62 degrees from 6;30 AM to 4;00 PM" or 30 minutes before you expect to be home. Then write down "72 degrees from 4;00 PM to 10;30 PM" or when you expect to go to bed. Then write "62 degrees from 10;30 PM to 5;00 AM" or 30 minutes before you expect to get up.-----< You have just covered a 24 hour period of time using 4 Programs and created ONE "SCHEDULE". Each day of the week needs a schedule. Various thermostats are different in how they handle schedules. You will need to read your "Owners Manual" to find how your thermostat arranges its schedules. To get started, look for a "SET" button or touch sensitive area on the display screen. If there is no SET button you can see, check your manual for the button to press to put the thermostat in its programming mode. With some thermostats, the display will blink or change color to let you know you are programming. While in this mode, use the temperature set point arrows ( up and down) to scroll through all the different things that can be set ( Programmed ). When you hit one you are looking for, press the left and right arrows or buttons to set that function or time where you want it. Press the up and down arrows to get to the next adjustment, use the left and right arrows or buttons as before to set that function. Keep doing this until you have gone through all the various functions and set points for one 24 hour day. DOUBLE CHECK all your times and temperature changes against the desired operation you wrote down. Be extra careful none of your start and stop times for the temperature resets overlap each other. If you programmed in Holidays or special events you may have, be sure the TIME and DATE are correct. Press the "RUN" or "START" button to lock it all in and start your programs running. Again, be careful of overlapping the times in each "PROGRAM" of each daily "SCHEDULE". Overlapping times can keep your system running all the time, starting and stopping or changing temperatures, or maybe even not run at all. I hope all this will help you to better understand these complicated devices called thermostats. Thermostats are a deep subject and specific factory information in your owners manual may be needed to get you through. I hope this helps though. At least a little. The main trick to getting them right is to write it down before starting and make sure it covers a 24 hour day. Again, be extra careful of overlapping times from program to program and you should be OK. Good Luck. Roger.

Is the sunvic sp2 a 2channel timer please

Yes. It appears the Sunvix SP2 is 2-channel timer.
http://www.sunvic.co.uk/documentation/Programmer_Select_207.pdf

Two-channel means CH central heat and WH water heater can be programmed separately, and each can have its own timing program.
pg 3

The timer offers pre-programmed options for both CH and WH, which can be used, or program your own schedule. chart pg 5 and steps pg 3

Limitations: both channels operate on same clock time, and dip switch setting. pg 6. So the WH cannot be programmed for 5-2 weekdays-weekends and CH programmed for 24 hour.
As a convenience for varied work schedules, Sometimes people use the 5-2 weekday-weekend option so 2 days of week can have different programming, and then fudge current day setting during the set-current-time step pg2 so the 'weekend days' are actually moved to wedsday-thursday instead of sat-sun.

Option: both CH and WH timer programs can be linked and follow same programming by using copy button. pg 5

Using advance button on either side of timer, pg 3-4, WH and CH timing schedules can be overridden temporarily until next set point is reached. Then regular programming automatically resumes.
If override or Advance button is pushed for either CH or WH, it reverses whatever programming is in effect. On becomes off, or off becomes on. However if CH thermostat is satisfied and room temperature has not fallen below thermostat set point, then override will not turn CH on, but override will turn CH off. Same for WH override: If cylinder thermostat is satisfied with internal water temperature, the water heater will not turn on and heat more water, but the override can turn water cylinder off.

Unit requires Cr2033 lithium button battery. Pg 6. Probably lasts 3-5 years. Programming is protected for 30 days from power outage.
If programming is lost, change battery, the reset timer and reprogram to restore functionality.

How does this timer work? I lost pkg with info.

I believe the First Alert timer is same as GE 15151 vacation timer.
http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#vacation

If this is not your timer, then add a comment.
Also look at Woods timers on link below to help identify timer.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html

A vacation timer turns on-and-off randomly to give the appearance that somebody is home
This timer cannot be set for daily on-off schedule.
Rotate dial until current day and time line up with arrowhead located on inner dial.
The timer will turn on-off according to preset schedule

GE markets a number of timers for daily repeat programming:
When buying a timer, note that some are for 2-prong plugs and some for 3-prong plugs

your "damper vent door" located between the refrigerator and freezer compartments is frozen open or the cold adjustment contron in the refrige is bad and not powering the door as you change the temp set for the refrige and leaving it open,if the door is frozen from ice/frost just de-ice it with a hair dryer and then set the temp adjust and see if it opens and closes with any adjustment

Every program scheduled to record starts and ends five minutes early? So the end of the preceding program is recorded and the end of the selected program is cut off.

BigBillO,

One of the options for the DVR recordings is starting and ending before the program starts and ends. You can change this setting to your preference. To change , press the DVR button 2 times on your DISH remote. This will bring up the "My Recordings" screen on your TV. Go to "Schedule" button on the right side of the screen. Press select. You should be on the "Daily Schedule" screen. Go to "Timers" button on the right of the screen. Press select. You are now on the "Timers List" screen. Select one of the programs scheduled to be recorded and press "Select". You are now on the "Timer Schedule" screen. Go to "Options" button and press select. You are now on the "Timer Options" screen. This is the screen you can set your preference for the "start early" and "stop late" settings. Be sure to select the "Set as System Default" if you want to apply this setting to all your recordings. I hope this helps.

I have a set-back number on my thermostat

the easiest way with a programmable t-stat which i assume it is, is to set the temp you want then press the hold button, otherwise if it isn't held at that temp at different times of the day the t-stat will resume its programming schedule.
