Question about Mitsubishi LT-55265 55 in. HDTV LCD TV

Open Question

I have a Mitsubishi LT-55265 LED TV with wifi capability. It keeps losing the wifi connection when I turn it off. When I try to reconnect, I have to retry several times before it finally connects. The error message says connection couldn't be completed due to network problems or incorrect password. Re-entering the password doesn't help. My wifi signal is full strength and my laptop and printer never have a problem with the wifi connection. When I first got the tv set up a few months ago, I never noticed the problem and the internet connection would always come back after turning it off. Any ideas?

SOURCE: TV screen goes blank but power stays on

Sounds like the CRTs are going into protective blanking due to the vertical output ic needing to be resolderd. Try resoldering the vertical IC that may possibly fix the issue.

SOURCE: Mitsubishi HDMI connection trouble

I have the same issue with my 73". Rather then going over all of my connections and equipment I'll just say htat I feel your frustration. I have been on the phone with Mitsubishi directly and it appears as though they have a free software upgrade that should address this problem. If you call 1-800-332-2119 and press 4 in the menu you will get someone to help you. Be patient. They will make you go through all of the fixes that you have already tried. They will mail you a flash drive that goes right into the front USB port of your TV. I hope this is of help. Good luck.

SOURCE: Mitsubishi LT46-144 LCD Verticle Line Problem

Go to Mitsubishi support page, look at warranties (scroll down) and see if your model is under the extended warranty section. Then if so have a tech repair person come look at the picture and order the parts while you keep the tv. Parts and labor are covered.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

If the signal is too weak the connection will be unstable. If you have a lot of wireless routers in your neighborhood it could be affecting your connection. Everything will work fine then the neighbor turns on his equipment and you lose your connection. Try switching the router to a different channel. Try channel 11.

Try connecting the TV directly to a different wall outlet and check. If the issue persists, try power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue persists, then the TV may require service.
