Check the cable to your hard drive..... no bootable device, is indicative of hdd failure or an error in your Boot ROM. Since the system also indicated to check the cable, more than likely your system is completely unable to see your drive. This could be from loss of power to the hdd, or loss of connection between the hdd and the motherboard. (a third option would be failure of other components on your motherboard, which are far more money and hassle to fix than replace.) So.....

  1. using an appropriate screwdriver remove the screw the the disc icon next to it and any others necessary to remove your hdd.
  2. Remove the hdd completely and inspect for irregularities
  3. replace the drive and connect it firmly
  4. check the system menu for a connected device to verify that its really not being recognized
If your problem continues you wore than likely need a new hdd.

Try this steps:

1. your boot option or settings in your bios
2. faulty cable/wire to your media device (hard drive, cd/dvd rom, etc)
3. The cmos battery (which indirectly points to your bios settings)

This is what mine says when I turn on Intel UNDI, PXE-2 . 1 (BUILD 082) Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation For Atheros PCIE Ethernet Controller v1.0.0.5(01/22/09) Check cable connection..

You hard drive is missing from the system. Just does not recognize it.
Remove the hard drive and reseat (reconnect). Check BIOS by pressing an F key during boot. Look on the screen for correct Function key. Might be F2 key. Verify BIOS recognizes the drive. It must be listed! There is no going forward if it's not. Check boot order and make internal hard drive first. Save and restart.

No bootable device PXE-M0F

You need to disable booting from the device in the Bios. It will be under the Boot options menu. Uncheck it from the list of devices to boot from.

Check cable connection! PXE-M0F : Exiting Intel PXE ROM. No bootable device

Your machine is trying to boot off a network and not the hard drive. You need to set it in BIOS to boot from the hard drive. If it cannot find a bootable device, then your hard drive or your operating system is defective or disconnected.

The hard drive isn't being recognized by the motherboard.

You could have a serious issue with the drive. If you have important data on the drive I would recommend having it checked out by a local repair tech.

If you don't then call Acer support to schedule a repair, hopefully it's still under warranty.
