Modern wiring, if you have broadband, only uses two wires.

They consist of the A leg and the B leg. The A leg is connected to connexion 2; the B leg to connexion 5.

Other connexions are concerned with earth (usually for party lines) and ringing (for telephones not on an ADSL line--telephones on ADSL get their ringing current derived from the flter). These other two wires should now be disconnected as they can cause noise.

The wires are in pairs, the blue on white has a pair, which has a little white on blue; the orange on white's pair is white on orange.

It sounds as though the blue pair are the A and B leg, and should be connected to 2 and 5.

Check on another telephone socket (it should be wired exactly the same).

There have been connection issues with game ranger since its inception,in `03.It has fallen out of favor with most gamers and is very unstable on 7.Your best bet is to reboot your rig before every section.Restart the game ranger a few times when rebooted then try to play.In my personal experience x-fire works much better.Sorry I can offer no fixes and game ranger wont any time soon.

While i'm opening fifa11 exe it shows e001 error.what to do?help

This error is an indication that your graphic card does not support the Fifa 11 game.

In order to play the game you will need a better graphic card which support at least the "shader mode 3".

We have 3 Uniden phones, no dial tone on any of them. We have unplugged and plugged in with no change. The phone company said it's our phones. What help do you have to offer?

OK, go to the FIRST jack, where the "Line" comes in. At this Jack, use a "Normal" phone, NOT the Uniden, if you can, this is to see if you have Dial tone there, if not, then your problem is on the "Outside" as it were.
Now if you DO have Dial Tone, then try ONE of the Uniden's there at that jack, see if it works OK, if NOT OK, try disconnecting everything AFTER this jack. So that you are using ONLY the line in from the exchange. Terminals 2 & 5, If OK, now, then you have a wiring fault, past that Jack. All phones use connections, 2 & 5 in the BT jack. ALL BT jacks are wired in Parallel. So you would have to find out why you have this problem. (Often it is a staple thru the wire etc). So line comes in on 2 & 5 the extension wires go on 2 & 5, and go to the "Other" jack. In the master Jack, then we would have 2 sets of wires on 2 & 5, one coming in from exchange, the other going away to another jack. Each subsequent jack, will also have one pair of wires IN & one pair OUT. You MUST isolate each Jack, before working on it, to isolate it from the rest, then connect up, as you proceed with the testing at each location.
Once you establish a "Known Good" then you can test each Uniden unit, in turn setting them up to go on the Master Jack. Then once all going on the Master jack, then connect up the "Going away" wires, and then go to the next jack, (any) and plug in the unit, and test it, and so on. working towards the "End" BT Jack.
That should enable you to troubleshoot and understand whats going on.
Make sure they are fully charged, the Code is set according to the manual. It would also pay to download a user manual for your exact make and model.

I use AOL as my ISP, with British Telecom supplying my telephone line rental. On Friday 2nd my internet connection kept dropping out, and then eventually stopped connecting altogether. My original router...

If BT tested the phone line is OK but did AOL test the connection to the Netgear router and get the IP address of your Netgear router.
The phone connection is OK but the ADSL connection from the telephone exchange may not be working, that is why you are not getting an ADSL light.

There is a fault in-house with my BT Inspiration Telephone system

Well BT is very simple it is just a pair of wires that all connections are in parallel, so what you need to do is check between BT jacks, look for disconnection &, shorts. use Cut and test method, IE: Go to each, BT, cut off any Going away, cables, temporarily, and test that line, if Ok, then connect up the Going Away cable and test again, go to next BT and do the same until you find your fault. ALL connections are on 2 & 5 in the BT jack. With the faulty section simply replace with any lightweight 2 corr cable and terminate on 2 % 5 in the BT jack,

hello you mean buzzing,humming cause is a high missing broken ground and it needs service by electronic shop............make shure is not missing any wire that must be connected or undervlotage working............saludos
