Question about E-Machines eMachines Refurbished EMA SYSTEM BOARD MODEL T2984 eMachines (102257) PC Desktop

I sold my friend my old e-machines tower, it had been sitting around for about a year unhooked. I took it to his place hooked it up for him but nothing happens when i press the power button. I opened it up and there's a little green light lit up on the motherboard, is the power supply bad or is the power button broke, or what? I mean it worked fine when I unhooked everything

One of the voltage supply lines has probably gone bad and most likely will need a replacement power supply.

I had the car in storage for 35 days. Upon startup, battery was dead. I took the dead battery out(only 1 year old) and put in a good battery which started the car, while the car was running good I took out...

You recycle the old dead battery

Have no idea why you even put that back in

Common sense & your friend is correct

You don't disconnect anything on today's
vehicles, even with the key on

Put in a new battery, start the car, warm it up
& drive it for awhile & maybe you will get lucky
& it will complete some of the drive cycles & run some
monitors ,you know nothing about & it will be fine

If not, your mechanic friend should be about to stop

My computer screen is black after logging in and i cant do anything i have windows vista

This usually occurs when your RAM is faulty and can actually happen to all computers running many different operating systems. Aside from installing a new operating system to test out the RAM, you can simply switch out your RAM.

Turn off your computer if it is on. If you are experiencing the black screen regularly, there is a good chance that it will not allow you to boot up your computer fully without shutting itself down. If this is the case, your computer is already more than likely off. Remove the power cord from the computer tower.

Remove the screws that hold the PC tower cover in place with a screwdriver. The tower cover usually only comes off on one side, so gently remove the side that is capable, and place it away from the tower. Users with laptops need to remove the RAM panel from the underside of the computer. This gives you access to the RAM for replacing.

Locate the RAM that is attached to the motherboard of your computer. You will see clasps that hold the RAM into place, and you may see more than one stick of RAM. Remove all of the RAM sticks by pushing the clasps away, unhooking the RAM from the motherboard. Click your new, replacement RAM into place, and cover the tower back up with the cover, or replace the laptop RAM panel.

Hook up the power cable or place the battery back in, and power on your computer. You now see that your computer is working without the black screen appearing. If you have more than one stick of RAM, turn the computer off, and remove the power cords and battery. Insert one old RAM stick, and cover the tower back up, replace the power cord or battery, and turn on your computer. Check to make sure it does not present you with the blue screen. One by one, reinsert the old RAM sticks into your computer, and test your computer for stability. Once you are presented with the black screen, remove the last old RAM stick that you inserted, and your screen problems are gone.

First of all you can't fry anything if theres no battery but for numbers on the computers have to match. and if he did not disconnect the battery while plugging the new one in something could happen especially if he has a short or electrical problem that took his out in the first place. GOOD LUCK!!

Bobbin/thread tangles

All sewing machines will require maintenance. The difference being that some machines (most made these days) require servicing from a technician. The older machines have the instructions and the owner is able to do the oiling/cleaning themselves. If you don't mind paying for the service then how often depends on use. If you use your machine regularly, say at least once or twice a month, then you will find you would need service about once yearly. If you never use your machine, say once or twice a year, you may find it needs servicing every time you try to use it.

If you wish to purchase a new machine, what machine depends on your amount of usage, types of sewing and such. There are a lot of good easy to use machines on the market, my suggestion is to stay away from the Discount house machines. These may look ok, but they are much cheaper parts inside. My suggestion is to go to a local sewing shop and sit down and sew on the machines. When I sold them I always told people to bring in a sample of the type of sewing they do. If the salesperson won't let you sew on it, don't buy from them. If you want to email me with the types of sewing you do and such, I'll see if I can help you find one.

Hi Brenda,

Your All In One wants a phone line hooked directly to it. It won't fax without a "POTS" line directly hooked to it. POTS stands for "Plain Old Telephone Service" which is the line with good old dial tone on it.

Every monitor doesn't have a place to plug speakers, does the monitor have speakers built in? You may have to plug your speakers up directly to the computer, imagine that!
