Thank you for using fixya.

You are experiencing a no boot issue in the computer. It means that the computer does not load up the operating system. It might be caused by system failure or errors in the operating system, or missing files in the core of the operating system. What it's asking for is the Operating System's Disc enable for it to fix itself.

Here's what you need to do:

1. Look for the disc that came with your computer. It's called Microsoft Windows Operating System. If you are using Windows 7 in your computer, then, it should say Windows 7 INstallation DIsc or WIndows 7 operating system's disc.

2. Insert it in the DVD drive.

3. Restart the computer. Once you see the "press any key to boot to cd" message on a black or blue screen, press any key. It will then load up the disc and it will ask to install or repair the operating system. You don't need to install the operating system, so select repair.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions until it will tell you if the repair is successful.

Inform me if the same problem occurs after the doing the procedure that I have provided you. Just leave your message by commenting in this post. And, I'll return to you as soon as possible.

Thank you for using fixya.

Thank you for your message. I do apologize for the late reply.

The only key to fix this problem is to have the disk. But, let's not lose hope. We can try to go to safe mode. Here's what you need to do.

    1. Restart the computer. Once it's restarting, press F8. It will send you to a black screen where you can find the option safe mode.

    2. Highlight safe mode using the arrow key. Don't highlight safe mode with networking. Just safe mode. Then, press enter.

    3. From there, do system restore.

Remember the date when the computer was still working fine. Click start>programs>Accessories>system tools>system restore

It will show up a box which will ask you for a date to restore the computer to a previous state. You should restore it to a date when it was still working fine. Don't worry it won't delete the files that you have saved but it will remove the programs that you have installed after the date that you will identify later on. Don't worry you can just put the program back in.

If it doesn't work, then, you need to buy an operating system's disk.

Hp pavilion a1210n disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter. how do you boot in save mode

Turn your computer off, turn it back on, as soon as you do that, start pressing F8 repeatedly until you get to a screen where you can access safe mode. If it's saying disk boot failure, you most likely have a dying/dead hard drive.

Boot failure message is shown because you have uninstalled any important drivers, deleted any system files or it is a virus infection problem. You need to recover your windows from windows vista DVD. Check it to your dealer.

Take the floppy disk out of the drive... this sounds like the classic error when the boot order includes the floppy disk first, and a blank or data (not bootable) floppy diskette gets left in the drive.

There could be another type of drive set as bootable. CD's and DVD's don't normally do this - they usually cause a prompt "press any key to boot from CD..." or similar.

You could go in the computer setup and set the hard disc drive to be the 1st in the boot order and also solve this problem.

Otherwise could be your C: drive got damaged somehow. Virus or otherwise.
