After you remove the tire, the drim should slide off. If it doesn't then try using a rubber mallet and gently tap on the outside edge as you pull on it. Sometimes you also need to tap on the drum in the center part. I have sprayed penetrating lubes like WD-40 or PB Blaster into the seam at the center. You may also have to back off the parking brake cable or even use the adjuster to back off the shoes.
Remove disc brake caliper from mounting bracket and support with a length of wire or remove sleeve bolt and rotate caliper up and out of the way to remove shoes. Do not allow caliper to hang by the brake line unsupported.
Remove outboard shoe and lining. Use a suitable tool to disengage shoe springs from holes in caliper housing.
Remove inboard shoe and lining, unsnapping shoe spring from piston.
If installing new shoe and linings, bottom piston in caliper bore using large pliers. Take care not to damage piston or piston boot.
Remove bushings from mounting bolt holes in bracket.
To install:
Install new bushings to mounting bolt holes in bracket. Lubricate bushings with silicone grease before installation.
Install inboard shoe and lining by snapping shoe retainer spring into piston. Shoe retainer spring is already staked to the inboard shoe. Shoe must lay flat against piston.
Install outboard shoe and lining by snapping shoe springs into holes in caliper housing. Wear sensor should be at the trailing edge of shoe during forward wheel rotation. Back of shoe must lay flat against caliper.
Install caliper.
Apply approximately 175 lbs. (778 N) of force 3 times to brake pedal to seat linings.
Hi Chrissy,
I had observed the same problem - after an external flash had been removed from the camera, internal flash didn't pop up. Tried to look at the Google and finally found the solution. It helped me and could help you as well:
The usual reason is that the camera thinks that there's an external flash mounted on the hot shoe. Check the external flash detect switch. It's located under the right side of the shoe (there is a metalic piece which is kind of "elastic". Just try to push it and release several times, may be put the screwdriver softly under it and out... It helped me.Here is the picture of location of the detector.
