I would call a sewing machine repair shop and ask how much it would cost to have the machine serviced and fixed and then you can decide wether or not it would be worth having the machine fixed or looking for a newer machine...

Keyboard dont type

No matter how careful you may be, knocking a cup of coffee or spilling a glass of soda over your keyboard may happen. This does not, however, mean the end of your keyboard. If you act quickly, you may be able to fix your wet keyboard to avoid any corrosion of its electronic components or any short circuit which might render it unusable. By following a few recommendations, you should be able to fix your wet computer keyboard.

Unplug the keyboard from your computer immediately after the spill to avoid any corrosion or short circuit. If you spilled water over your laptop's keyboard, turn your computer off by clicking on "Shut Down" on "Turn Off" in the start menu, unplug the power supply and remove the battery. Turn the keyboard upside down and shake it to remove most of the water from it. Take a hair dryer and set it to its lowest temperature setting. Use it to dry any water which might remain under your keyboard's keys. Wait at least 12 hours before plugging your keyboard into your computer again. If your computer is a laptop, wait 12 hours before turning it on again. For Other Liquids Disconnect the keyboard from your computer immediately after the spill to avoid any short circuit or corrosion. Turn your computer off by selecting "Shut Down" or "Turn Off" in the start menu, remove the battery and disconnect the power supply. Place paper towels on a table, turn the keyboard upside down and shake it over them to allow most of the liquid to fall down. Take a few clean paper towels and wipe the liquid off your keyboard's keys. To clean between the keys, you can also use cotton swabs with just a little bit of water. If the liquid which you spilled over your keyboard contained a high amount of sugar, such as soda or sugared coffee, you might have to remove some of your keyboard's keys to clean the surface under the keys with paper towels or swabs. You can do so by lifting them gently with a screwdriver or by using a key remover, which you can find in some IT stores. Wait at least 12 hours before using your keyboard again. If your computer is a laptop, wait the same length of time before turning it on again. How to Clean Your Keyboard Fix Computer Keyboard Problems

Model will not stay on cuts off- shake machine, comes back on

Do you mean when you shake it, it starts up again? It is hard to say for sure, but it sounds like a main power wire is loose somewhere. Unplug the machine, take the lower cover plate off and check all the connections. There really isn't a part that works better when it gets shaken. Here is another possibility. If yoy mean that the machine shakes itself and then comes back on, it is probably a bad compressor. When a compressor goes bad, it has an automatic shut off switch to keep it from burning the wires out. If it shuts off it means the compressor is really hot because it is locked up. When it tries to restart, the compressor will shake sometimes when it kicks out again. If this is the case, its time for another ice machine. The cost to replace the compressor is almost what a new machine will cost.

Hey I have a 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500. Last year in the spring, it randomly cut off. After a short time of looking around we realized the coil wire was exposed and shorting out on a line from the AC. Now...

Yeah I would pull that harness apart remove the tape and the plastic conduit around it and really give the wires a good inspection to rule them out then your going to want to make sureto pit the plastic conduit back on there raping it if you want. And remember to check up the wires a good foot or so in both directions. Then make sure the rubber on that pipe can withstand temperature because it soulds like it's getting a little warm.

2001 saab convertible switch does nothing when pushed

OK... I think it's working... Here's what it seems to be. When I installed the AudioTroll, I mounted it to the heating duct along with the two bundles of wires in the console of the right side foot well.

I went in and completely removed the audiotroll and it still didn't work. So moved the wires around and the top started to work again. Then I started to install the Audiotroll again and checked the top functions after each step. All went well until I started to mount the actual control box.

Apparently somewhere in one of those bundles of wires one is bad, probably one of the ones that goes into the up-down top switch bundle is bad. Probably one of the wires is also used for the rear windows, which is why they didn't work either.

So the AudioTroll is back in and working (works with an older Nano, but not my touch by the way...) And the top is now working and the car is back together, but I don't really know what to do with the bad wire. Guess I could ignore it until it malfunctions again, which could be never... I guess.

I guess I should dig in to the harness at some point. Anyone else have this happen, and if so what did you do? Is there a replacement harness?
