The damper vent door from the freezer to the refrige located between the 2 sections has frozen shut and cannot open to let cold air into the refrige from the freezer, its behind a plastic grille near the top of the units divider you should be able to hear a fan in this area too its in there open this up and defrost with a hand held hair dryer if iced over, then make sure fan is operating, then move the temperature control and see if it opens up

Its simple really,, Your refrigator needs re gassing,, call a professional and he will regas it.

When the gas is running low the fridge cools less and less and eventually will not cool at all when the gas is depleated. Its a natural process and any aircondition or refrigation professional should be able to come to your house and gas up the refrigator , a process that takes a few minutes.. I dont recommend you attempt to do it your self, as it will not take a whole can of gas and if by chance you use the wrong type you will spiol the compressor

cheers

I have a GE Refrig model GSS 201emd cc - The freezer works fine, but the refrig does not, the lower area is cool however the top area is Hot and no air is coming out the top circulator fan. Can you tell...

It sounds like the cirulating fan between the freezer and the fridge is not operating. I have been successful in lubricating the bearings. It may need replacing. Available online

Side by side Magic Chef refrigerator. Freezer

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp ..

Could also be begining of a defrost problem.
