The 7803C motherboard was used in the Dell Optiplex G1 series.
Just copy and paste this link into your browser:http://support.dell.com/support/download...

This is the system utilities driver for your motherboard. Here is a quote from the file:

If you received your system from Dell Computer with the operating system pre-installed, you do not need to install the drivers on this diskette as they have already been installed by Dell. The installation instructions below need only be followed if you are installing the operating system for the first time, or re-installing the operating system.

If this helps just click the thumbs up.
    Sincerely, Peter N.

The best place for downloading drivers for any dell computer is at the DELL page they have all the drivers that you could need for any dell PC and are mostly free of charge just need to click download and there you go or just pass through the procedure and feel in the details of your computer.

First find out what type of controllers your IDE has, go to the device manager then on the IDE right click and then click properties copy the details and that will get you the right drivers to download.

Need manual for C51GU01

In the bios there's an option to configure SATA as "IDE", "AHCI", or "RAID".
If you don't have data to loose, try this. Install the drive, set the BIOS option to "IDE", boot to windows, install manufacturer's IDE/SATA controller drivers, restart, set the BIOS option to "AHCI".

AHCI stands for Advanced Host Controller Interface. There are rumors that setting AHCI without manufacturer's drivers will give you a BSOD. I'm not sure if you can recover it by switching back to "IDE", but it should be worth a shot.
Best of luck

Is it possible to use ID harddisk and SATA harddisk at the same time?

You can indeed mix IDE & SATA drives on a computer. If installing the OS (Operating System) to the IDE HD, you will only need to instruct the BIOS to boot the IDE HD drive first.

If you decide to install an OS on & boot the SATA drive first; you will need to instruct the BIOS to boot the SATA drive first and may need to provide a driver for the SATA controller - if the OS install does not recognize the SATA drive. The driver should have been included on a disk or diskette with the controller (or on the motherboard driver disk if a built-in type controller). You should see a prompt asking "If you need to install a driver.... press F6" (or similar). Press the F6 key and supply the driver disk - and follow the prompts.

Good luck!

Can i use PATA hdd for this motherboard?

You could connect a PATA HDD to this using the IDE connector, which then means that you would need to either slave your optical drive on the same channel, or obtain a sata optical drive.
The other ( not recommended) solution is to buy an IDE / SATA converter and run the hard drive from a SATA port. I've never had any sucess with these adaptors

Sata on k7vt4a-pro. wont boot into windows with any dvd drive in sata plug.does motherboard support sata dvd drives

Hi,

not usually No.
You need to setup the Pc with an IDE drive First. Then load The Sata drivers, usually on the setup CD. ( obtained with motherboard )
Alternative, is to create a SATA/Raid boot Disk et,c.

Detect the hdd , cann't instal the os. it reset the system

most likely due to the fact that this may be a SATA hard drive and your installation of the operating system does not know how to access this kind of hard drive due to the fact

1. It may not have the latest SATA drivers which you can obtain from your motherboard manufacturers website are not installed onto the operating system disc ( this is called slip streaming the driver onto the operating system disc ) which you can use nLite for www.nliteos.com

2. You do not have IDE mode enabled in the bios / cmos of your motherboard in terms of how the motherboard should access the hard drive - if you have an option for IDE mode as far as how it treats the hard drive then you may not need to do option 1

3. It may be an idea to disable or play around with AHCI and check the sata settings in the bios / cmos on your motherboard.

If you are still having issues then post back.

Asus p5vd2 mx MB has 2 IDE ports.I'm planning to use Sata port for HARD DRIVE & IDE for CD rom.Do I need to install additional Sata drivers? Or much better of Using conventional IDE port for both HARD & CD...

If you are using a SP2 XP or Vista installation disk, then the SATA drivers are usually not needed as both have the drivers built in. SATA is far better to use for your hard drive. If perchance the drivers are needed, they should have come with your motherboard but I highly doubt they will be. I haven't had one yet in a new installation where the drivers were needed.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as fixya. Thank you.
