Sounds like a hardware problem, in which case there really are no recommendable do-it-yourself solutions. Contact the store you bought the system from, if the DSi XL is still under warranty, or take it to a repair shop.

Up date nintendo dsi xl

Hi there!
To update your DSi XL you will first need to make sure your DSi is connected to the internet. If your DSi is not connected to the internet, do this follow the steps in this link:

How to Connect to the Internet Nintendo Support

Once your system is connected you will need to select the system settings icon (the wrench) from your DSi menu, click the right arrow 3 times and click on "system update." Then click "yes," then "next,"then "I agree," then "ok" to start the update!
Have a fantastic day!

Screen touch

Refer to the trouble shooting at Nintendo. Your screen may not be working due to the game your playing if any. If that's not the case you may need to recalibrate your touch screen.

My dsixl was played by my sister and she didnt use a stylest insted she used a knife on the touch screen how much would it coust to get it fixed

There are two ways that you can get your screen fixed.
  1. Send it to Nintendo for repair
  2. Purchase a replacement touch screen and replace it yourself
Option 1: If you are still under warranty it is free to send it to Nintendo for repairs. Click here to get your device repaired.
Option 2: If you are not under warranty this option may be cheaper as replacement touch screens are only about $4 You can purchase them here. Unfortunately I could not find any videos on replacing your DSi XL. I did however find one one taking apart a DSi here.
If you need any more help feel free to comment.

Hey There, Im Jordan Johnson From The Netherlands. I buy'd a Nintendo Dsi XL A Week Ago. It Still Working Good. Today i buyed a r4 card and my friend putted some games on it i got version 1.4E on the...

The reason your R4 is not working is because the DSi XL has a protection that won't allow this kind of product to work on them. Make sure you have the latest firmware on your R4, and also make sure it is compatible with the DSi XL. Take into consideration that this is a piracy tool and as such, it's illegal to use on most countries.

When you turn on dsi the touch screen doesn't work and once you get to the menu section the only thing that works is the camera buttons. What do you do?

This is what I told one personwho had a similar problem.

One time when my dinosoar of a ds was not a dino, I left it plugged in to the wall for a few days. When I went to unplug it and play a game that required the touch screen, it seemed to not know i was touching it. That night I went and bought mario bros. partners in time and played that game (which used buttons and not the screen) until my ds died and I recharged it only for a day and the touch screen worked again.

Another time I went to someones house with 2 little kids and let them play my game. They lost my pen ( and it was a hassel finding a pen small enough to fit in the slot) and started using their fingers. We ate some super buttery popcorn and kept touching the screen with our fingers. The next day the touch screen did not work and my step dad had to use windex 3 times daily for 2 days before it would work.

Make sure you try what I tried a few times. Pretty much any problem you have with the touch screen not responding can be fixed by letting your batteries run out of juice and recharging in a maximum time of 1 day. If this fails you, make sure you are using the bottom screen. You dont know how many people I have met that kept replacing their ds and ended up finding out they were using the wrong screen. Finally, replace the screen, and buttons or just replce the ds or dsi.

The touch screen homepage on my computer doesn't work anymore.

Hi

When you sat the screen doesnt work anymore. What is the exact problem? When your initially start your PC do you notice any programs not appearing that where there before?

Have you also tried wiping the screen gently with screen wipes as fingerprints over time can cause some issues.

Thanks

Andy
