Question about Maytag MDB6769AWS Stainless Steel Builtin Dishwasher

Model MDB6769AWS1, it has started getting water on the inside of the door, the only way I see that can happen is if something is wrong with the soap dispenser seal or the vent seal, am I correct?

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly
Most of the time the water on the inside of the door is caused by condensation. Condensation happens because the seals Items 6 and 9 of the link below shrink or get hard over time and no longer seal correctly so they either leak water into the door or enhance the condensation process.

If Item 6 leaks you will get water in the door
If Item 9 leaks you will get condensation during all parts of the cycle especially the drying cycle.

Make sure when you remove Item 7 (Deflector) to replace the seal item 6 that the deflector is not cracked.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

I find the cascade package in the mainwash dispenser undesolved. the door of the dispenser is open. What could be wrong?

Check your water temperature. It could also be that something is loaded directly in front of the soap dispenser and the water isn't hitting the soap.

At some point the dishwasher leaks onto the floor. what could be the possible problem?

this are the possibilities for the leak :-----
Door gasket loose/torn
Corner gaskets or door baffle/vent gasket
Door lock/latch loose/broken
Split spray arm
Over filling with water...usually the level is just under the heating element is normal
Something leaking through the door...like the soap or rinse agent dispenser gasket, silverware basket button.
Door hinge(s) bent
Wrong soap was used...dish sink soap instead of dishwasher soap
Rinse aid being used with mechanically softened water ( makes foam or suds inside the dishwasher )

Leaks from under the unit:
Look for whiting or calcium stain on the motor and pump assembly = motor and pump assembly seal leak...access panel removal help
Hose for upper spray arm split
Fill hose split or fill hose spout air inlet is calcium covered
Drain hose is split
Rusted liner...metal liners only
Fill valve leaking or allowing water to fill all the time
Heating element ends....where they come out through the dishwasher liner
Float or float gasket.

Not getting water from dispenser in door

The connector that is leaking is bad causing tubing to come out and leak. The reason it won't flow is it is iced up inside of the door and no, unfortunately, you can't disassemble the door to get to it. It requires a door replacement. The connector is part number WR02X10471 from www.geappliances.com or GE Factory Service Parts at 1-800-626-2002

Water leaking from the door

Could be a number of things. If you are in an area with hard water you could be using too much soap or the wrong soap. The dishwasher could be out of level, or the door seal could need replacing. Dishwashers also need to be cleaned. Soap residue builds over time. Try running the d/w with no dishes or soap, pour 5-6 cups of white vinegar directly into the tub and run a whole cycle. And again watch the soap usage.

Dishwasher soap dispenser sticks

Your soap is clotting because there isn't enough water being sprayed around inside.  The water spray washes the soap out of the dish, if all is working well.  My machine had the same problem.  I had sufficient water level, but the spray head wasn't spinning very well.  I found the end-most hole in the spray bar to be plugged.  It is the end hole that provides a jet that makes the head spin.  I cleaned a bunch of debris out of the hole and the mchine started working and cleaning like it was new.  That was quite an axccomplishment since the machine is 15 years old.

Dishsoap stays in soap dispenser

ok, either a spring, trigger prob, on the latch, or a electronic prob. ok so to see if the latch is ok (or not) look closely for soap residue and scum, that may be hindering the latch or spring under. use metho, and warm water to clean this part. secondly go down to a white goods repair place and take your electrical component, button, lights its all one unit, simple unscrew it, i do think you will need a set of torque screws for that tho... anyhow ask the guy to get you a new or second hand one and install it. the timer will run, and the clip will release. good luck!
