Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
(try this but sorry, no promises!)
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my guidance notes for checking both the drain filter and the drain motor ;-0)
-------------------------------------

If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play!

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

I accidentally hit the off button of my washer instead of hitting pause to open the door. Now it wont start. How do I reset it?

Pull the plug or trip the breaker and count to 10. Put the power back on and that should reset it.

Or put it on a spin cycle and start again.

Its flashing E3 and chiming. and stopped washing

Hi

E3 is an overload error and indicates that the washer motor is not running properly. You can take out some clothes and then restart the cycle by pressing the START/PAUSE button. After this, if the error appears again then check the motor connections, if everything appears fine then the motor should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

My kenmore 417 94082500 dryer keeps pausing and shutting off with no errors between 5 and 10 min from starting.

Rotate the cycle selector knob three clicks clockwise (3 o'clock position) from the Normal cycle option then press and hold the Select and Pause Cancel buttons simultaneously for six seconds.Immediately after, press and hold the START and Pause Cancel buttons simultaneously for 4 seconds. Rotate the cycle selector knob one click counterclockwise (2 o'clock position) and the error code will appear in the digital display as an "E" followed by two numbers, a number and a letter or two letters. Post back the error code for further advice.

My dvr shows a 1hr program fully recorded, and begins playback fine. After almost 10 min playback ends but when paused, continues to show another 50 min available.

Hello! Daniel Busa with Dish Network here. That actually happened to me about a month ago a hard reset resolved it for me. If that doesn't do it try deleting all of the recordings that don't play back correctly, reset it again and keep an eye on things, it may be a bad box.

Hello there"
This could be a fairly simple fix or a kind of expensive fix but here is somthing to check out first
Remove the three screws on the rear of the control panel and lift it up. Disconnect the rubber hose on the right side of the gray control module and blow through it to make sure it is clear and not kinked. If this check is fine then your control module needs replaced.

Machine wont restart after inadvertantly hitting the stop button instead of the pause button

I believe the final solution was to unplug the machine for several minutes. When it was plugged in again I hit one of the wash cycle buttons and after a minute or so the button indicating that the door was closed properly lit up and then the machine resumed it's cycle.
