Logitech wireless optical mouse problem

I puchased this mouse about 7 months ago and now all of a sudden the pointer does not move anymore. Right and left click still work however. I took out the batteries and still nothing! Is there something else . I paid about 55 dollars for this .

Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud

Wireless keyboard and optical mouse

Thanks! I fixed the problem by installing a USB mouse and using fn+f9. That unlocked the mouse so I could use the pointer leaving just the keyboard problem. I then tried reconnecting the wireless keyboard (by using the button on the receiver and under the keyboard) Hey Presto!!
