Question about Samsung LA32A450 32 in. HD-Ready LCD TV

2 Answers

Hi, Can anyone recognise or diagnose this problem we are having with our Samsung LA32A450 LCD TV? It wont power up, no power on lights. Switch on side of TV wont turn on. Remote wont power it up. This may be the key ..... My wife tells me that my 3yo was playing with the remote & the buttons on the side of the TV Would there be any strange combination of buttons pressed that could have rendered it useless? Could close proximity remote activation have caused anything?

Hi g_coopster,
Samsung LA32A450 LCD TV wont power up or no power on lights that indicated that no power line.
First of all, check the power line, cable AC cord is it installed properly, change ac cord if necessary. If you experience with electrical tool such as Volt meter, try it to measure the ac voltage from power line.
Or open your rear cover of unit, there are 2 board with difference color brown PCB (IP Board) and Greend PCB (main board). Check fuse on power board, if broken that may cause your problem. Change with the same type as labeled on it. But becareful, if after you change and try plug the power line in than broken again, thats mean power board have sort circuit.
My suggestions, try steps above and if it file, change power PCB block. You can buy it on Samsung cervice center.
Good luck.

Hi Paul,
Do you get clear OSD. If yes, it is the main board, if not unfortunately it has to be the lcd panel. Good luck.

Do you have sound or no sound and no picture? Did you verify whether the set has gone into protect mode due to a surge? Try unplugging the set and wait for 5 minutes before plugging it back in. See if it comes back on and let me know.

Where can i find the fuse location of the Samsung la32a450 My tv won't turn on anymore and some folks tell me it's a fuse problem, but where can i find the fuse ?

Could be the fuse, but they usually pop for a reason. Take the back cover off, the power supply is to the left, a brownish PCB. The fuse will be located near the AC power connector. If you get me the full model # and Ver # from the side, I could get you a PN for the power supply... they aren't that expensive.
