How do I connect an external speaker

There are a couple different ways.you ca go
On the back of your tv you could have either,
1 - Optical Audio output
2 - RCA jack audio output ( Red and White color ports )
or
3 - 1/4 inch auido jack. audio out

When you find the jack that matches up to the deice you want to connect hook them up ad then go into your TV settings menu and turn on External speakers

Speaker audio .

The reason is the system is likely designed to use 8 Ohms and 4 ohms will cause a problem like you describe. Either find 8 ohms speakers or a 4ohm to 8 ohms matching transformer.

I have an apex ad-5131 dvd player i want to hoook up speakers to to but how? i dont understand the coaxil i matched all of them by color to color but it still doesn't work

The outputs on the dvd are line level and will need to be hooked up to an external amplifier or stereo receiver in order to make speaker work...all you do is hook the audio output right (red) and left(white) to the amplifier and then hook the speakers to the speaker outputs on the amplifier

My jvc mx-d622t shelf stereo simply stopped working. No power at all , Course I do have 6 speakers hooked up to it, just added the third pair the day before it stopped working.

Are these speakers compatible or are you just adding speakers because you have them hanging around?

If you have effectively less than 6 ohms of impedance on any channel you may run into problems and the unit may either die or protect itself by refusing to stay ON.

It's fairly obvious that if you do X and undesired Y happens you might want to UNdo X and rethink it.

I am adding solderless phono plugs to one end of my speaker wires in order to plug my stereo surround sound to my new tv. I notice that the wire is split into 2 parts. Do I need two plugs for each...

# 1 - You don't put phono plugs or jacks on to the speaker leads. You must have audio output jacks on your set in order to utilize surround sound. The only other way is if your using a cable box or vrc that has the audio output jacks. The way you just mentioned is the fastest way to blow your audio output ic's in the set.

My Toshiba TheaterView has no sound or picture

You may have overloaded your audio output with the external speakers(impedance or short wire problem?)as a result the audio out i.c maybe damaged which in turn may have blown one of several fuses in the power supply.maybe regular GMA type fuse or picofuses, you can try replacing blown fuse but if they blow right back you`ll need the help of a repairman

Adding subwoofer

Hello dongurian,

You can add the Bass600 even if your Pioneer does not have any premap outputs. The Bass600 has speaker level inputs and you should have gotten a keyed plug with pigtail wires to attach to the speaker output. Or, you can use a line-out converter if desired.

Hope this helps.

Bose PS 3-2-1 II speaker exspansion

Unfortunately this is impossible on the 321 series II systems. There also is no audio output on the media center to send to another amp either. As you may know, the 2 speakers are actually 4 speakers. Each small speaker array has 2 drivers. The 2 on the outside will project rear-channel audio to the sides, so placement of these speakers is important. Honestly, adding speakers would not make this sound very good. If the sound isn't too great as is, make sure you're using digital audio cables (optical or coax) from any external sources like a cable box or Blu-ray player. (if you don't see a Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1 or PCM 2.0 read-out on front of the media center, you'll know it's not digital. DVDs the exception)

Need Audio Cable Extension

You would be looking for a Lead that has a 3.5 Ml Male Connector Jack to plug in to PC, and a 3.5 Ml Female Connection on the end in which you will plug your PC Speakers in, that will also have a 3.5 Ml Jack on the end.

Wish to use extension speakers with Bush IDLCD32TV22HD

You will need to get into menu and enable the external speakers. Some older TV may have a switch at the back to turn the external speakers ON.
