Actually those parts are available at your product accredited service center, you can't find it on stores.
thanks & sorry if I can't provide any info, but its the only way to find replacement for your phone power button.

WILL NOT SHUT OFF, LIGHTS UP, TURNTABLE RUNS, MAKES NOISE, ONLY WAY TO SHUT OFF IS TO PULL PLUG OR OPEN DOOR

This is a classic door switch problem. I fixed a friend's MW a few months ago that had this exact symptom. Got a family member's MW going again last summer for similar (not identical) problem.

In our case, one of the switches was broken (shorted). There are usually a group of similar door switches all mechanically ganged together behind the latch. If the MW has a wiring diagram, you can use it to figure out which switch controls the light, fan and turntable. Check the switch with ohm-meter after you get it out. The switch plunger may have lost it's springiness.

You need to be clever mechanically to figure out how to disassemble for the R&R (remove&replace). Don't break plastic mounting pin or you may have to improvise repair for that too!. It may help to have the service manual for your particular model (worth a google search). The switch is probably relatively inexpensive ($5 or so) and a generic replacement should work fine if it has the same-or-higher voltage and current rating.

key switch needs replacement and when pulled out check the actual switch mechanism behind the key switch you can use a screwdriver to turn it on and start.all key switch must retract to the on for prevention of starter overrunning .

2004 buick century high beams go out while driving

New dimmer assembly switch is needed most likely. About $40 on ebay, $275 at parts stores.
Replacement should take the mechanically inclined home mechanic about an hour or so.
The hardest part is removing all the plastic and getting the wiring junction box apart.
  1. Tilt wheel down whole way
  2. Two T25 screws remove the bottom plastic on the steering column
  3. From underneath look for two more screws holding the top plastic on, they are reverse Torx but a 5.5 or 6mm 1/4 drive socket will remove them.
  4. Remove lower dash "cardboard", remove the cushion plastic above this (where your knees are while driving)
  5. Remove metal part of dash behind the cushioned part. Four 6mm screws and four 10mm bolts. This gives excellent access to the wiring junction.
  6. Remove the two wire connection from the switch to the steering column.
  7. The bracket holding the wiring junction box to the dash is a real pain, there are two top/side clips that need released and then the box "rolls" apart from the bracket.
  8. With the box released from the bracket, you will see a 10mm bolt right in the middle of it holding the box together. Remove the bolt, remove two blue "keepers", one on each side of the box, they simply slide out.
  9. You can now pull the connectors apart from the box.
  10. To remove the switch itself, you do not have to remove the steering wheel, there are 2 T25 torx screws holding it on. The top one is easy, the lower/side one is behind the steering wheel but can easily be removed by using just a T25 driver bit and a 1/4" wrench. Hold the bit into the screw head with your thumb and turn it with the 1/4" wrench.
  11. Remove the screws and the switch just comes away from the column, nothing will fall out or get lost.
  12. Replace in reverse order, be sure to get the little brass pin for the horn behind the metal ring for the horn on the backside of the wheel.
I have probably made this sound worse than it is, it's not hard at all, just annoying lying on your back under the dash to get at the wires.

1989 wrangler 2.5L won't turn off with new switch

Hi there:Bad installing or a problem with the connections. The most likely problem is a bad ignition switch. To find out for sure, remove the plastic covers over the steering column and remove the 2 screws holding the ignition switch in place. Make sure the mechanism coming from the key is turning the ignition switch. If the mechanism works fine, replace the ignition switch.

I would suggest removing the ignition switch and checking the mechanism in the column to make sure it is actually turning the ignition switch off.

You could have a wiring problem, you will have to follow all the wiring from the ignition switch down the column and into the harness, there is sure to be a short in the wiring harness, that is if as you said you replaced the ignition switch for a new one.

To test this, remove the plastics around the steering column and pull out the wiring plug to the ignition switch, if the ignition turns off you have another faulty ignition switch if it stays on wiring harness has shorted out.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

SOMETHING POPPED IN THE DRIVERS DOOR AND NOW THE WINDOW WILL NOT GO UP

Vehicles: Any with the above symptoms.

The small popping noise was some component in the Window Operator Mechanism breaking - the cable may have snapped, a plastic pulley may have broken, a plastic cable guide may have broken - it could be anything.

The reason you can't see the Window Operator Motor or the track is that it is behind the moisture barrier - remove it by carefully peeling it back at the edges of the door frame (so that it can be re-adhered back to the same door frame location without adding adhesive/sealant).

When you get to the Operator, be prepared to have to drill out some number of aluminum rivets to remove the OEM Operator, and, when installing the new Window Operator Mechanism, you'll have to replace these rivets with your own Pop Rivets, or they can be replaced with small hardware store nuts/bolts/washers (mechanics choice). Have an assortment of both ready before you attempt your Window Operator Mechanism replacement.

If the broken component of your Driver's Door Window Operator Mechanism is actually a missing/broken rivet, then replacing that would fix the Window.
But these rivets hardly ever fail - what fails is plastic components in the Window Operator Mechanism.

Turn signal does not return

Try spraying some WD40 on the base of the signal lever (into the steering column), if that does not work than you need to replace the actual mechanism behind the steering wheel.

On/off switch is flaky. After a period of not being reliable, it now won't turn on. I've opened up the plastic and I can get the inside capsule loose, but it won't slide out... it's blocked by plastic...

Pop off the bezel that surrounds the switch actuator. Once you do that, the switch actuator will fall our in your hands. Remove the C-clip at the top of the microphone and the circuit board can be slid out the top.

The actuator moves the actual switch. So, if you are having problems with the actual switch, then you will need to replace it. Replacement parts can be ordered from Shure Parts at 800-516-2525.

It might cost less and be easier to simply send the microphone to Shure for repairs.

I have a panasonic fp 7742 it has a u1 code front door is open but it is in fact closed what do i do?

there are two plastic sections, that when the door is closed, activate two switches telling the machine the door is closed. these plastic pieces do break off. the mechanism behind the cover where the switches are may need to be adjusted. the actual sensors may be at fault or there is a small pcb that has faulty components on it. my suggestion would be that a technician pay you a visit. sorry, good luck

My 1994 f150 ignition switch will turn the truck on but won't turn it off. Also the switch is very loose, does this need to be changed or tightened?

The plastic ignition actator (plastic gear drive) has lost the steel pin pressed on the end of it. This thing connects the mechanical key ignition switch to the electrical ignition switch(with pin gone will push ignition on BUT with pin gone cannot PULL ign. switch to off position),the whole steering column will have to be removed from truck to replace.Availible from Ford or parts stores--ASK for plastic ignition actuator-metal one is for 1987 to 1991 F150s.
